Yup.  And unfortunately that level of deception and fraud has ruined things for those who are honest.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

V.O : **Types for sometime, Ok /sir You do not Qualify for this visa at this time

Uh where did I go wrong? Man didnt ask for Documents , nothing else just these and he served me 214b Blue paper. I am still trying to wonder why this is so. I am from Nigeria

My dear Nigerian brother the only way to get a US visitor visa is use all those strong documents you have from your work and even the Landed properties plus a very fat bank account statement and apply for UK visitor visa they will sure give you,UK is not about traveling experience but prove them that you have enough money for your trip.then you can add a trip to Dubai and if you have enough try visiting one Schengen country eg like France.after all these trips US visa we be a don deal for you.American is no longer give Nigerians visitor visas.my elder sister was denied last Thursday as well,be cause she has never left Nigeria before but shes married with 3kids and the live in there own house there in lekki the conference she paid 200k ($600) to attend is not possible any more because of visa denial.though the conference said to those whom their visas will be denied their money will be sent back.just work on your travels history.America no trust naija again ooo.

If you have no ties gives you reason to not return back to Nigeria.

Truth is if you were married or had children or owned property in Nigeria

Well i do Own properties here , Plus I am the only son of my Parents here too and besides only having my own job and some other things , Myself and my father own a Business here as well. Plus i work. I dont know maybe i should have this in my next Ds-160 come November. I even thank God its not a Pink paper given.

Most fellas here says i have not traveled before and that happens to be my downfall. So i guess i would have to work on my travel for a conference some other place before I try by November again.

Out of all the above i did not see this

Although these conferences and displays are open to anyone who pays the fee,  it is more normal in the US for a company to make a list of the people they want to attend and to further make the arrangements for the registration, travel,  hotel, time off from the job, and visa when it is needed.

these conferences are important to the company professionals and they try to send the people they know will get the most from being there

The CO might have wondered why your oil company was not involved in your application

and just seeing a badge with a company name is not proof

Yes, it does seem like you are being penalized for what your countrymen have done, but... You had a few threads going before your application seemingly trying to rehearse/get everything ready in a good story, and now you’re planning to try again. I think people warned you before, you seemed to be a coming across a bit desperate for the visa, and that may be happening again. If a CO gets this kind of feeling they may well feel something is off, and refuse, even with a genuine application. If nothing substantial has changed in your application by November, neither will the outcome. Certainly in my mind the fact that you seem to be planning to travel somewhere else just to bolster your next US visa application still shows strains of desperation imo.

CO Did not look at my document , Just asked those questions and gave me 214b, No letters , Nothing. My downfall should be maybe because i am not married , and having not visited any nation before.

That’s really not what is coming across to me from the way you are posting, but anyway. Many conferences outside the US and a wealth of info, including some conferences live-streamed, on the net these days to “expand shores of knowledge”. Yes I can understand why you would want to visit the US in person. Good luck with the November application.

Í have another one going on In brazil , possibly I might relax and go later on.

I dont plan to schedule for even next Month. November is far away, hence I can even relax and go some other places and try applying again come Next year.

That just underscores my point. November, next year, etc, clearly it is more the idea of the US than a specific conference /subject that you’re interested in. You can say whatever you want to me. But it’s the CO you need to convince.

The fact that going to some other places as a prelude to try applying for the US again appears telling.

:) I hear you máam

I dont see how going for a conference to help my life poses me a potential threat. If i do not go to the US, I mean i can have patience and go some place else and still have that knowledge.  I just came to share ideas and know where i went wrong so if I am applying to come for that conference next time i wouldnt make mistakes.

I build solutions for Oil and gas companies hence i dont get to see why if i partake and understand what goes wrong and what goes right... is a bad thing. Reputation for my nation is bad , I know but somehow not all of us have bad intentions.

I rest my case.

One of those wonder what the real deal is situations.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
