Hello everyone, I wonder how affect my friend if she don't apply AOS. She been here in USA sinced Dec. 2006 and they got married last Jan. 2007..She didn't apply for AOS yet..and her K1 visa expired at third week of June 2007.Will she get introuble if she apply after her visa expired? Anyone here can share your knowledge..If yes, please reply..Thank you.. :help:

The K1 visa expiration date refers to the date by which the visa much be used to enter the US. As long as she has entered the US and married within the requisite 90 days, she's fine. She should, of course, apply for adjustment of status as soon as possible.

Waiver approved after 10 months. Did NOT use a lawyer

She should file as soon as possible as she is currently out of status. She cannot get an SSN, she cannot work, and she cannot re-enter the country if she has to leave for any reason. Filing for AOS, EAD, and AP resolves these issues.

2-1-07 - RECEIVED E-MAIL THAT EAD WAS APPROVED!!!!!!!

2-3-07 - RECEIVED EAD CARD IN THE MAIL!!! Lucked out on that one!!!
