Quick one guys, I don’t know if I am the only one in this boat regarding my i130 which is on the 336 days since the last update. We received a notice that an RFE was mailed to my wife’s address but she never received it then we requested for an address change which was successful and yet a duplicate wasn’t sent till this very day. I don’t know what could be causing the delay although I’ve since requested for a ‘Case Outside Processing Time’ and I have been told to expect to hear from USCIS on the 03/22/2019. Thank you

So wait until 3/22? I’m hoping you get good news and your case can move on!

You can call and speak to Tier 2 officer and see if they can FAX u the REF...I wouldn’t wait till that period if they r making a decision based on REF...yes had u received REF and responded it and they acknowledged it...then it would have been fine...but now u r in limbo...always cover your base first....i am also in this USCIS mess boat...317 days and still nothing not even an REF...so all I can say is good luck ...

Hi, so my cousin is actually in the same boat. Her husband ( US resident) received their NOA1 on December 18th, 2017 and they have not heard anything since. Apparently USCIS can only speak to the petitioner because she called today and after waiting on the phone for over 30 min was told they couldn't give her any information they just said it can take up to 25 months for them to hear back.

Is the timeline different for a US determinant Resident submitting an I-130 for his spouse? This is the first time i hear that it cn take up to 25 months.

I believe the timeline could be different if it’s a US citizen that is the petitioner. There has actually been status updates which means they’re working on it. I just pray they come back with an approval notice because it’s been a very long journey for us. Good luck

Reading this just puts such a bad taste in my mouth...so discouraging and depressing.

I believe in the saying ‘He who laugh last laughs best’. The journey might be long but it is definitely worth the wait.

You should contact the Ombudsman and get them on your case. This is beyond too long. Go to this link to read up on how to file your case assistance request online.
