You can also use the prompts to punch through to the address-change portion of the phone system. Same operators I believe. That's been the suggestion in other threads for any reason of calling USCIS.

I forget to say I called them today and the lady I spoke to was convinced they were only working on November filers and no one else. This was after I told her about VJ and jan. filers, feb, etc.... She said the people on VJ were problably lying about their timelines and approvals. It was truly a sad day for my government.

Wow....clearly that woman was on crack. Why would anyone lie about their timeline or approval? It's not like you win money for having an approval on such and such a day. I'd keep my head and just chalk her answers up to crack use.

My K-1 Timeline:

02/08/2007: Engaged on top of Table Mountain!

03/27/2007: Sent I129f to NSC

I think these operator typically do not have much to go by.

They can only provide general answers and guidelines. I do

not think they have information about day to day operations at

different service centers.

When you do connect to the right line, It says "Thank you for calling United States Citizenship and Immigration Services California Service Center". I have no idea what the other options say since I never call them.

Generally I dont think they will be able to tell you anything, unless you have been touched.

I had pretty much the same experience...November.. you arent out of "normal" processing time range..I stated I was a member of a forum that offered support and that some people who filed in Jan and Feb had already gotten approvals...she stated that maybe they were mistaken about when they actually filed....my tax dollars hard at work there buddy!!!

OMG!!! You mean all these people on here have been lying about getting their NOA2's? Oh the deception! Cut it out now, would ya!

I can only imagine that the number you call is staffed by someone who is given a script to follow and that's pretty much all they know. If you ask a question, they look it up on the list and give you the canned answer. Once they do that 75,000 times a day they stop referring to the script and adlib things like. "oh whoever said they received an approval, that filed after November must be lying" That person is a loose cannon and needs taken off the customer support line immediately. Please send them back to reconditioning training so they can get back on script!

It's interesting, some people have been able to find out that they are approved, I don't get it, I called yesterday, and the lady ready me just about every script they have, and when I mentioned a few times that I had updates the last two days, she pretty much ignored my question...What is wrong with these people? I am wondering what would happen if I asked to talk to someone else? That is just crazy that they would say people are lying about being approved...

I spoke to a nice lady at CSC today. After talking a bit, she first started giving me a standard answer for Nov 2006 cases etc...but then I started (almost cut her off)......"... no no no..some of my friends who had applied in Mar 07 have already got their approvals..."....she seemingly understood that I knew more...and then calmly agreed that yes that is right. Then she told me that she cannot give me a specific date as to when my case would be approved, start processing etc..but can tell me if it is currently with an officer or no (for me it was no :( ).
