Hi! I will be sending off my application 03/15/2019. I have a question - Can I do one check for $680 or do I need to do one for $595 (app fee) and one for $85 (bio metrics)? Also do you guys send a copy of your marriage certificate?

Thanks!

Hi we sent two check one for $595 and one for $85 and sent a copy of the marriage certificate just in case. They accepted and we got the extension letter.

I got the same issue before and someone said we needed to wait for biometric notice. There might be another receipt number.

however, today I tried adding my receipt number to the new USCIS website and surprisingly it works! I think they updated the information on the new platform first(I tried the old case status checking website and it told me the receipt number was invalid). Wait for a day or two and check on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ , this is the new one.

Hiya, folks! I have a few questions:

1. I can simply insert the paperwork into the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate box, correct? I don't need to put the paperwork into a folder and then into the box? (inexperienced sending mail, sorry for the dumb question but seeking peace of mind)

2.  Should I explain that we haven't filed 2018 taxes?

3. Should I explain why we don't have joint bank accounts? We didn't feel it ever necessary since we are both employed and we each know what we are responsible for in terms of shared finances. Most things go on the credit cards to farm points and we each have our own bank accounts to pay off our fair share of the charges each month.

4. Should I include monthly credit card statements? Or will copies of the front/back and a statement that she has been authorized for ~2 years be enough?

Any feedback on my list of evidence from page 4 would be much appreciated. 🙂

1. I put all paper into a folder and inserted them to shipping box. But It should not matter

2. I included tax return for 2018. But the deadline is April 15 so I think it won't hurt if you not include 2018 tax return

3. Yes you have to I think

4. I included statement every 3 months but It is up to you
