I just got a letter in the mail saying that my I-751 has been approved. I did not get an interview so was quite surprised to find this letter. My new green card should be here tomorrow!

I also applied for citizenship around May last year but have yet to hear anything back. I thought that I would get a combo interview but obviously that’s not the case! Hopefully my N-400 will get here soon.

I filed in NY in March, 2019. I have since moved to CA and changed addresses 3 times! My case has been transferred twice and I got my latest approval from national benefit center.

Your case is way outside processing times. Texas current processing time is 4.5 to 6.5 months. Case Receipt inquiry date 12/14/2020. Basically people who filed in January and February 2021 are already getting approved.

I would reach out to your US senator and have them shake the tree for you. :)

I-751 Joint Filing.

06-15-2021 - Case was updated to show fingerprints were taken.

05-26-2021 - Received NOA/extension letter. Notice date and postmarked 05-20-2021.

05-23-2021 - Received text message with Receipt #. YSC Potomac Center.

05-21-2021 - Checks cashed (processing on joint checking account)

05-07-2021 - I-751 received in Arizona.

Marriage-based AOS - Concurrent filing.

05-07-2019 - AOS Approved. Resident since date 05/07/2019.

05-06-2019 - AOS Interview

04-23-2018 - "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"

If they are ready for interview then their case is not in Texas service center anymore, it was either transferred to NBC or is already at the local office, so the processing time is no longer from SRC. There are so many people in queue that the wait at local office sometimes can take years. The people who filed after them that got movement was either because interview was waived or because they are at a different local office. Not every local office move at the same pace, some like the one in NYC seems to be really slow, some other ones at small cities seem to move faster.

I thought you get a notification letting you know that a new office has jurisdiction when they transfer your case. Alright. Sounds good. :)

I have heard of people speaking with agents and finding out that their cases are at a local office without getting an update. Other people get the ready for interview update without being transferred before. At this point is pretty obvious they don’t follow an exact pattern with every case. So many millions of cases they process a year that it must be a challange to keep a consistent pattern.

My wife filed in 05/24/2019 and received her NOA1 on 05/31/2019 SRC Texas Service Center and we are still waiting too! So frustrating because I’ve seen so many people got approved within 4 months. Her 18 month extension expired back in February and we had to schedule an infopass appointment. They gave her another one year extension and took her expired green card away that day......
