My permanent resident card expires on 03/06, and my form i-751 was received and signed for on 02/22, but I have not yet received notice that it's being processed.

With 03/06 approaching, am I right to be worried? I am concerned that it will be sitting in a pile of letters and I'll miss the cut off date.

If I do miss the cut-off date, will I be ok to appeal based on the fact that i have proof they received the form 13 days prior to the expiration date?

In the event that the package is returned to you (incorrect form/fee, etc), they will provide you a sheet that will accompany the package when you send it back, so you should be fine.  If that happens, and you want to exercise an abundance of caution, you can include a note with proof that is was filed on time.

Honestly, it’s probably just back logged.  A bunch of January filers did not receive notifications (or extension letters) so they are likely sorting out that mess.

You can always call USCIS to double check.
