Calendar opened on different days for everyone who was in our shipment for sure.

And there's at least one couple here who the calendar opened later than it did for us, but ended up with an earlier interview date (though mostly because we didn't want to reschedule).

I seem to remember that Anastasia called the embassy a few times?  Did she use the “call center” referenced here on VJ?  The note made it sound like you don’t get any helpful information, as the folks that answer the phone do not have much information.  If it’s a local call, do you actually get to speak with someone who can tell you something?

She did, and emailed them a few times too. She was getting frustrated with her calendar not opening up, and then later when we were stuck in non-immigrant Application Received for almost two weeks after her interview.

I'm not exactly sure who she called or emailed.

From what she told me, it sounded like she did get to talk to a person, but usually got pretty stock answers.

Ok, guys.  My fiancé called Moscow to ask the status, as we have no communication from the embassy.

she was told over the phone that the embassy does not have the file.  That it is still in the US.

i have sent an inquiry to the NVC, support-russia@ustraveldocs.com and the embassy.

Any other thoughts?  We are at a total loss as what to do.

I hope that the NVC just forgot to send your case on February 19 and sent it on March 7. Waiting for good news from you this week!

Just because I’m going crazy waiting for an appointment:

i looked up january and february, 2019 k-1 issued in Moscow.

40 issued in January

99 issued in February

Hopefully, April will be a productive month.

Though other than perhaps for a few cases that were stuck in post-interview processing for a while (and despite sitting in non-immigrant Application Received for almost two weeks, Anastasia's was still Issued in Feb), March is going to be pretty much an 0-fer.

Yup.  They opened spots last night.  Around 40 for the end of April. We did not get one😬

Are there particular times that the calendar opens up or it's just random? Don't know how to be there at the right time

It's totally random (though I've never heard of it not being during business hours in Moscow, I've heard of people who check all night).

As far as I know, the best way to be there at the right time is for the beneficiary to join one of the WhatsApp groups that monitor things and notify each other when there are openings; @Lars & Sasha can point you in the right direction for one of them (which his fiancee and mine were in at one time).

Miracles do happen...even with the insane Moscow embassy system.  April 1 Vika got through to the embassy visa line (after being alerted by the WhatsApp group) and got an interview April 2nd...yes, the next day😳

her medical was already scheduled for April 5th...but, the embassy was ok with that.

im assuming we picked up a cancellation.

and that is what we hoped for...and can hardly believe we got.
