Yesterday I was told on FB JV that I have to submit separate ds260 forms for my kids even though I paid $120 for all three together. Please tell me that doesn't make any sense.

  • 01/22/19.   Updated on website "sent to NVC"
  • 01/29/19.   NVC received kids case from USCIS
  • 03/12/19.   Received welcome letter with case and invoice number

  • 03/25/19.   Son (6) approved for expedite for medical reasons but not my other kids.
  • 03/26/19.    NVC said we should email NVC expedite an tell them we need all three done at the same time as it's a financial burden to make two trips to Jamaica for interview. Which we did now the wait begins. Son case already sent to Jamaica embassy 
  • 04/01/19.   Daughters approved for expedite and sent to Jamaica (embassy) 👌
  • 04/05/19.   Received interview date for May 10, 8am. Registered their interview and emailed Andrews Hospital to schedule their appointments.
  • 04/26/19.    Medical appointment date 8am.
  • 05/10/19.    Interview 8am approved.  🎉🎊..
  • 05/11/19.    Status changed to AP
  • 05/13/19.    Status changed to ISSUED
  • 05/15/19.    2 youngest kids passport picked up by their dad
  • 05/16/19.     Eldest child passport picked up by her dad

  • 11/02/21       interview rescheduled to 12/03/21 @8:45am Charleston
  • 12/03/21      I drove 3 hours for my interview only to be told my file wasn't there and I'd have to be rescheduled for another interview. they weren't sure if it would be possible before the holiday. He even said he wasn't sure why they didn't do both interviews that very day when i did removal of conditions interview.  
  • 01/07/22.     Interview rescheduled for 02/14/22 @1:30pm Charleston SC.
  • 02/14/22.      Passed my interview. Now await oath ceremony.
  • 11/02/22.      Letter mailed with oath ceremony date and time 
  • 11/08/22.      Received letter oath ceremony scheduled for 11/15/22 @9am Charleston 
  • 11/15/22.      Oath Ceremony in Charleston (finally a citizen of the USA 🇺🇸) 🥳🍾

Finally, exactly 6 weeks later I received the kids case and invoice number. 😀. Ready for the next phase now

Just one AOS fee of $120 but each person needs their own I-130 and $535 payment. Each petition is handled separately and there are no derivative applicants in the CR process. So that is separate DS-260s too. I have 2 CR-2s. Each has their own visa application.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

 

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

 

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Thanks you've been helpful.  We already paid those fees just to fill out the DS260 form and submit documents. My 3 kids fortunately are IR2. I came to the US last year 3 months before my second anniversary.

Hi guys, I have a situation here - after i filed ds260 form its automatically asking police certificate from Finland. I am living in Lithuania and studied in Finland with exchange program for 3 months in 2017. It got me by surprise, because I didn't stayed there longer than 6months and thought it won't be needed. Do you guys have any suggestions what should I do? Try to get pcc from Finland or just write explanation letter to nvc about it? Thanks!

If I were you, I would request for thr PCC from finland, to avoid delays.

I did not, but I think you have the option of uploading them as additional documents.

You need to have an interview first before your case will be sent to the consulate. You have an interview?

I uploaded additional evidence at NVC stage as there was new stuff that we did not have at the time of filing the petition. Case was complete as of last Friday the 15th. Waiting for interview to be scheduled now.

Hello Everyone,

 

I am waiting for a Case number from NVC. I read some posts on this page regarding some transcripts for 2017 & 2018. Not sure what that is? Tax receipts?

My wife is in USA and I am in Canada so we filed our taxes separately as married. We would have a hard copy of tax receipts within a month or so should be fine. Please confirm if thats the transcripts you guys were talking about.

 

And if not, at what stage & from where you need to get it. Thanks.
