I called the dept of state IT....it was hard for them to do it but they ended up helping me because I kept calling and begged lol...they kept telling me it's for state employees..i wasn't hearing that...I had the same problem and it took 10 days for my portal to be fixed...now I'm still waiting on cc...basically a whole month wasted from missing marriage doc and portal errors

I'm sorry for your experience. I hope they soon accept your marriage documents if not yet had.

I'm worried that the same waiting will be for us. What they said at the end- why your status of payment didn't change? Could it have resolved by itself with the same timeline?

For those who submit their documents earlier, should we submit the tax transcripts of 2018? Or just 2015, 2016, 2017? My husband had not file his tax and we can’t get the transcripts till april.

Please any help is appreciated

You can submit 2015, 2016, 2017 tax transcripts. 2018 tax transcripts are not compulsory until after April 15th.

Has your fee payment Status changed to PAID?

Not yet! It still shows “in process” but we are collecting the documents and make sure not to get a RFE.

Submit your 2017 and in the comments section.  Explain that he had not done his taxes yet for 2018 ... That was accepted for us.

Nvc only require ur most recent. In your case it is 2018. ..... So 2017,2016 or 2015 is not necessary.  Persons only add those as additional documents.

I think they look at all factors. So for example, your household size, how close you are to the poverty line, if you have stable paychecks coming in, etc.  If you are way above the poverty line, the other factors are less important. They wouldn't outright deny you probably, if anything, they'd tell you in order to proceed you need co-sponsorship.

What's with the priority date ?

sorry , just a newbie trying to get more info. TIA :)

they are just referring to the time that USCIS received the initial petition. It is less important with spousal immigration because there is no 'priority date' per se, but they're just using it as a reference point as to when they started the whole process.
