So you didnt turn in original documents to nvc ? He said i dont have to bring it in because they have all original already...

That makes sense since it is via the post.

I would still contact them to see the beneficiary needs to bring anything else to the interview just to be safe

Hi all, just to confirm, the original documents required at the interview are the beneficiarys civil documents?? Do they need to see original W2's and or Tax transcripts of birth certificates of the petitioner??

In my case IR2 they want original birth certificate of petitioner and original marriage certificate and of course the civil documents original of the beneficiary but I sent all the originals including the W2s just in case

At the USEM, you wouldn't have it to turn them in but they would want to examine them and give them back to you.

I’m am CR1. My hubby is a US citizen. Maybe it’s diffe if you’re not CR1. In my case :

They only needed to see the original civil documents of the person immigrating to USA. So the IV applicant/ beneficiary.

I am the beneficiary and I took all my original civil documents. All of them where inspected.

I had with my husband notorised photocopy of his USA passport , photocopy of his IRS tax transcripts  and scanned print of AOS.

They did not ask me for any of these documents.

People please still take them with you as you just never know what the CO may ask you for. Some people have been asked to show these three documents mentioned above.

Well ..... you can go with what your lawyers says .... or go with what people who have been interviewed and approved are telling you 😊.

Check what category you’re in a d how you submitted your documents.

I’m CR1.

I’m in London U.K. and we submitted everything ONLINE.

It may very well be different for you.
