I’m praying it goes fast from here - I already had my medical so I feel like my clock is ticking haha

It could go faster you may have committed one of the big sins. Your visa validity is going to be based on your medica exam date and not your interview date. Total time for the validity is 6 months. I'm hoping that you do not run into any delays at the interview or from the interview that causes you to miss that date. Then it's medical all over again and guess what, you get to pay. :clock:

Yes I know, but I hope it’ll be fine. My processing embassy is Stockholm and from what I’ve read and gathered it seems like a fairly quick process. There’s only 1 doctor in Norway that does the medical, and I happened to be in that area for the weekend so I thought why not.

Yeah I'll have to start doing my research more into the consulate in Ankara. Maybe I can geThis should be a better understand of who is getting and who is approved and when. t a sense how of soon out they're scheduling interviews.

Try this. At the top of this page is a blue ribbon with a number of tabs; select "portals" and on the landing page if your country doesn't appear then search for your country. Select it from the list. Now look in the upper middle of the page for "Quick Links". Look down to the last entry which should say "your country's name + Visa Timelines". Now an excel looking spreadsheet will populate for others who are currently applying for a visa from your country. Follow across the top line of the spreadsheet to become familiar with the information and then where your interest lies you'll be able to analysis the information. This should give you a good idea where you stand with other members of your country and their journey.

It was a long wait for you too! Let's hope the remaining steps go a lot faster for both of us.

Claudia's passport was returned to her last Wednesday.  She got her prorroga (passport extension) on Thursday, the letter for her dog on Friday, and our flight to Atlanta was Saturday morning.  Everything went smooth at her POE, we had a short wait for our connection and then a 30 minute flight home.

Now, I'm just hanging out in different forums, studying this AOS thing, and looking for ways to help other people who are going through this journey.

Congratulations , I am happy for you . It’s quite a journey. My interview is fastly approaching

I had my interview yesterday, now waiting for the visa to be issued to get the flight and get my dog's papers done. We are planning on flying to the US on the 28 ❤️

Congratulations!

As far a the dog, the main thing they asked for was the rabies certificate at the POE.  I'm not sure what the requirements for Brazil would be, but I'm sure that you're on top of that.

We took her (our) dog with us in the cabin of the plane and it went fairly smoothly....except for when he got loose and followed the flight attendant who was pushing the food cart down the aisle.

I'm having nightmares where my dog (which has a... little temper LOL) escapes his bag and starts biting everyone on the plane hahahahaha

Yeah apparently for Brazil I need the rabies certificate + worms certificate and a paper issued by the Minister of Agriculture (don't ask) and signed by a veterinarian up to 5 days prior to the flight.

The thing I'm most worried about, to be honest, is how he's gonna react to the flight itself. He's adopted and super traumatized with a lot of things and I'm worried about flying for 10h+ with him in a bag. Hopefully I'll find some kind of natural medicine to calm him down or even make him sleep. If you guys have any tips on that, I'd appreciate.

ALSO, You're together already! That makes me so happy!!! ❤️  Best of luck to you guys and be super super happy together!!

Today we scheduled the K visa interview. It's set for October 16th. I couldn't believe we got in this fast. I'd heard of others over the summer waiting 3 months to get their interview at the Ankara Consulate. Today we are celebrating, tomorrow we'll start quadruple checking every little thing and delving into some fun neurosis, I'm sure.

I knew things would begin moving faster, but this is very quick.  It's funny how fast things can change for the better.  Good luck with the interview!

Mine is in a few weeks! I’m hella nervous though. I get super awkward and cringey when I’m stressed out in more formal situations so I have to practice being 30% less myself and stop saying “uhm yeah so” in every other sentence haha
