They received my NOA1 on March 25.  I'm beginning to wonder if there will be problems since the time is a bit longer than the March averages.   I don't have a lot of confidence in the online updates so I am just watching for postal mail.  Maybe this week will be a good week for us. :)

Trust the process.

The postal service sent me email of my mail that will be delivered today. I see a package that is from USCIS but it doesnt have NOA2 on the front. My question is will a NOA2 always have that on the front of the envelope?

Sometimes  you can look through the envelope and make out a few details. Can you see the beneficary's name or can you see page  1 of 1. If you can  see the beneficary's name you are in the money!!! The envelope  will not have NOA2 on the outside.

This is another case against hiring a lawyer they are more or less just middle men and in the way, but I understand personal choice personal preference.

It was a tough decision to make. After my fiance failed two times to get her tourist visa, we then decided to go straight to the fiance one, but were so afraid of making mistakes. The lawyer I hired had previously worked for me pro bono, so I hired her the second time around. Yeah it causes delays, but so do errors filing on my part, which I was too afraid I'd commit. Can the lawyer make mistakes? Yeah, totally, I am likely to make a lot more.

The lawyer is only compiling the documents and data  you produce. You'd be surprized how un complicated it is.

Maybe I'd be. Other times I've been surprised how complicated it can be. But my lawyer knows other things. For instance, I wouldn't have known in our personal statements to declare our intentions to marry within 90 days. I would've totally left that part out of she didn't insist I make a statement in there about that.

You must be looking at my example which I labeled in red NOA2.  It's never going to have any identification on the outside of the envelope as to what's in it.
