That's great, congrats! Your timeline has given me some hope for this week. It's easy to get into one's head that lately the NOA2 takes about three months, even though it could easily be much longer than that still. But I'm hoping for mine by the end of this week.

Also hoping for news this week...NOA1 for us was March 7th...biting nails right now haha...good luck!

When you receive an RFE (Request For Evidence) the best way to handle the RFE is to read it carefully. Do ONLY what it says. DON"T add tons and tons of unnecessary documents. It's not needed and will NOT help your case. The adjudicator has already made up their mind about your case and if you do what they ask then they are going to approve your case. Of course if something in your past is hanging up the approval, hence the RFE then what you return will answer the question(s) that the Adjudicator has.

@Greenbaum I received my physical copy of the RFE. My only questions is this: my form says that I said we meet online and I didn't answer question 55 about the IMB. Does these two have anything to do with each other?  We didn't use a third party to meet. So should I mark No, or does Facebook count?

The evidence and a copy of the I-129f is not needed at your interview.  The submission you made initially is now a part of your case file that the CO will be able to access electronically at the interview. Your'e fine for your interview.

Is this true for any country?

Each embassy requirements are different. But, in checking your P3 letter of requirements for Nigeria you do not need the I-129f package you had submitted initially. I invite you to double check with those from your country in this link below as embassy's have been know to ask for something that is not in the P3 letter to help them adjudicate your case.

Isn't Philippines one of the countries they do additional background checks for? I know being from Turkey my fiance is going through an additional layer of checks. No idea how long those must take, though.

Every embassy does some sort of additional checks not just the two you mentioned. It's  just some folks go through  faster than others  that it seems they are not being screened.

So why did your NOA2 take almost 300 days? Was that more of an average time last year?

I filed during a time when three months approvals (like people are getting now) was unheard of, 180 days plus was the normal time just to start when I filed. The length of my approval time had nothing to do with the Philippines since my case was still at USCIS. I have no idea what took my case so long to approve, but the important thing to me is it got the approval.

Although not needed for the interview, I supplied my fiancee with EVERYTHING I submitted as part of our petition. I made  3 copies. I wanted to afford my fiancee every advantage at the interview stage. Overkill maybe but at least she knows  what the CO knows insofar as our petition and when I say I gave my fiancee EVERYTHING I mean everything. It's  a personal choice I think.

Sorry for the double post my last post didnt save unless it did and I'm not seeing it lol... but I'm pretty sure it's a personal choice. I would be in the same boat just to make sure  though. I'm just worried say I put we met on July  16th on the application and my fiance says the the 17th and the officer is a stickler. I'm  pissed at my self for not bringing my copies on deployment with me but packing was hectic :( 21 days after  NOA2 still waiting for NVC to get my case. everything will be all good though we just have to stay strong and keep the faith! I'm a worrier so this whole process has been full  of anxiety. Sorry for venting  it just  feels good to talk about the whole situation with  others who understand. Goodluck everyone!

The day you met should be a constant and ingrained in both your heads,  but I dont think they would hold it against you for being a day off.
