Here is a question that I wonder every time I check my informed delivery in the morning. Does the NOA2 always use informed delivery? I always wake up and check it only to see it has not been updated.....HOPING that maybe when I check the mailbox it may still be there :)

Informed delivery has NOTHING to do with USCIS or your NOA2 the USPS scanned your mail that morning and if your NOA2 is there they will scan that and send you a email of the scans (from the post office). If you do not get a scan of the NOA2 it's usually because it has not reached you yet. Yes sometimes the post office fails to scan all your mail it is possible that your NOA2 could slip pass them and be in your mail box, but they the post office are pretty good about capturing all your incoming mail.

@Gazzee you are getting real close to getting something from USCIS, I bet you are ready huh? @Greenbaum was just pointing out to you that USCIS is famous for giving out standard can responses and answers. I don't think he was assuming anything about you, at any rate it's good that you verified all your information now rather than later. Hope you hear something soon!!!

Agreed...I've read some comments saying that the website wasn't updated even after they received the information in the mail. I definitely feel a little more relaxed now having spoken to someone.  Good luck.

I'm a May 2018 filer my petition was approved on March 6, 2019 and both of USCIS's sites STILL show "Case Received." Some people swear by the sites and the updates, but IMO they did nothing for me except cause undue stress! Don't put to much stock on USCIS websites and updates!

How do you know that it is still in Texas?

only option i have is to check the website. I'm guessing it updates you on it since everyone else post on there timeline that there file was transferred to California or one of the other offices.

Obviously I understand that informed delivery and USCIS are NOT connected, but I was hoping that maybe due to confidentiality purposes that the informed delivery does not scan government mail and I would therefore have some hope for still checking the mailbox. Thanks for the response.

It was just the way you worded your question. Yes USPS scans most everything, I've found that some of the flyers  (Advertisements) they don't bother with sometimes, but usually they get your letters and packages!

As far as I know, all the I129F forms go to California. I assume you have a NOA1 and a case number, right? If your case number starts with WAC it means it went to California. IF they transfer it to some other service center, you'll get a notification. When you send your petition, yes it goes to Texas, but then all the applications for K1 go to California. It doesn't mean it was transferred, it just means they received your case and started working on it (by giving you a case number). Try to breathe, you'll get news sooon! :)

Received a RFE today. I'm glad they touched our case but I'm not sure what they would need since I added so much extra stuff in my packet.

Prolly something  simple like forgot to check a box!

I'd be happy to look into that. I find these forums a bit cluttered, so if you could point me to the Ankara consulate I'd really appreciate it.

Go to the blue ribbon at the top of the page and click on the forum tab. Scroll down 3/4 of the page to find your country or region.

Question: if you call will they let you know what you need for the rfe? Just want to be prepared to get it back to the sooner.

Some times  they will tell you or even send it via a fax.
