Thank you! We are relieved to get news from them, but also frustrated because we were pretty sure we sent everything and more than was necessary. But who knows, maybe they lost something, maybe we forgot to fill something on the form. We are pretty confident it's something simple. Our only concern is when/how we're gonna send it, since my fiancé is not at home and travels for work.

They'll send it in do time. More :clock: is needed.

We can get the letter, his mom is going to get it for us. The only concern is if we need to send it back in the envelope they supposedly send for us to do so.

You can use any envelope you desire. There is no requirement.

So many questions. I recommend that you seek out the RFE group from the front index page and begin your research. You'll be in a better place if you do.

March 7th NOA1. Seems like many have got NOA2 already that filed after us. VJ suggests that we should be calling them now. I tried calling but it's just an automated system, I didn't hear any option to actually talk to a person. And the automated system says that you wont get anything from speaking to someone other than the information that you get on the website. How do you get to talk to someone in person...am I missing something?

Yes you are missing something. Go to the first post in the thread

Download the pdf file for tips, tricks and hacks. This is where you need to be now that you are at the NOA2 stage.

i just got a request for additional evidence notification on the uscis website :( . i thought i did everything correct. i want this process to be completed

Believe me when I say your not alone. Many get RFE's and they are not a big deal. Maybe a delay of 2-3 weeks. If you have the time you may want to access the links that I posted yesterday to the RFE spreadsheet that will give some idea what others have received. Then I think a good idea would be to search for the RFE thread from the main page. Then once you receive yours's you can just answer it and return it.

I’m a January filer, I have the interview this Friday, and the USCIS website still shows “case was received”... 😊

It will stay like that till after the interview and they begin preparing your visa. Then the website begins to update. Check the ceac.state.gov use "immigrant" with your case number for the latest update and update throughout your visa preparations.

See my post above as you need the information in the tips, tricks and hacks pdf.

@Gazzee if you’re able to call at 7am CST, you should get a person quickly.

@Rita Rocha check your inbox.

I got to speak to an agent. The agent said that there isn't anything to suggest a problem at the moment, and the application is still within the normal waiting times. I figured that this was what they would say, but it does give me some relief to hear directly from them that there isn't a problem. No news is good news! Just need to sit tight and wait for a while.

Thanks again for your help.

Hmm, maybe I'll give them a call this week as well. Althought I still haven't reached 90 days even since getting my NOA1. I'm just not sure either how confident I am in that website to show my case's correct status.

Agreed...I've read some comments saying that the website wasn't updated even after they received the information in the mail. I definitely feel a little more relaxed now having spoken to someone.  Good luck.

You called they gave you their canned response and now you feel better. They didn't tell you anything about your case as that is their pat answer that they give out to everyone. I've heard  this for the 5 years I've been here.

Folks this is a process.  You are not going to move the needle on your case completion with the many calls you make.

Save your energy and be proactive to what the next steps are. I bet you haven't been to your subforum here on VJ or that you've been to your embassy researching what you'll need for the interview. Do you have all your police reports? Are your names and the names of others correct on your BC? There is so much do then spend your time calling for something that is online and available to you.

I'd be happy to look into that. I find these forums a bit cluttered, so if you could point me to the Ankara consulate I'd really appreciate it.

Nobody mentioned trying to move that needle, that's a bit of a leap to say the least. I've done a ton of research, checked out the sub-forum. Have lots of information on what we need for the interview, police reports have been ordered and are due anytime now. All names are correct, I verified them more times that I can remember. I appreciate that you are trying to help but please try not to assume that I'm doing nothing just because I'd like to call and do what works for me. It took 25 minutes of my time (not "all" of my time) to call them. Everyone deals with things in there own way. Thanks for all of the information that I see you post on here, I've found much of it very helpful, but you need to understand that you know nothing about me and you are making a lot of unfounded assumptions about me which in all honesty is just rude and unhelpful.
