Hey guys! I haven’t posted anything on here yet but I’ve been following this thread. Is it recommended to call the USCIS number if your visa journey timeline estimate has already passed? Our NOA-1 was from March 4th and our estimate was that we’d hear between May 28-June 4 but nothing yet. Thoughts?

Hey, it seems like it's being a hard couple weeks for brazilians fiance(es), uh? I'm praying we all get our notifications soon. Even if it's a RFE, it's still a sign they've touched our processes... About calling, this is what I read on my VJ timeline: If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.  As @TandClaudia said, I don't think it would hurt to call. My fiance called them this week, we are within the date range showed on VJ but I had an anxiety crisis and he thought it would be helpful to call -- it wasn't, they said the same thing it's on the old site. But maybe you'll have more lucky. Also, the current processing times posted here (https://www.visajourney.com/content/times/) says California Service Center is working on petitions with 3/2 NOA1 date. So our time is coming! Fingers crossed for you and your fiance!  :)))

Just wanted to send a note to everyone still anxiously waiting their NOA2. I have been checking the app, website and calling the line daily with no updates. Then this morning I opened up the app only to be notified that my case was approved on June 5th. Try to be patient, it seems like there’s not a lot of consistency in notification but we all will hear something eventually. Good luck to you all!

Which app is that? The USCIS Tracker? Does the app not make a pop up when there's an update with your WAC?

Old website just updateed our NOA2 approval status 3 hours ago. New website still says case is received. And we havent received the letter in mail yet. I truly hope everyone will get their NOA2 soon!!!!

NOA1: 03/11/2019

NOA2: 06/05/2019 (old website only)

Total: 86 days

Congratulations. That was pretty quick, less then 90 days.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

No it is not recommend that you call USICS if your VJ timeline estimate has passed. The VJ estimates and USCIS have nothing to do with each other and VJ is just that's an estimate for its members and doesn't take in affect the total number of applicants, whom most are not on VJ.

Official timelines are posted via USCIS website found here. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Those are my thoughts and my experience.

It’s the IPhone ‘Visa Tracker’ app. I have it set to alert, and it’s been sending me other random alert announcements unrelated to my petition but nothing for my case until I actually opened the app this morning. Seems like all methods are unreliable!

Thank you so much Greenbaum and I have updated my information as mentioned.

Can I also ask another question as: we just received our NOA2 letter and I know I have to wait for NVC to assign a case number. However I (the beneficiary) just moved to a new place so how should I update them about my new address? should I wait for NVC to send us a letter informing they have assigned a case for us then call and update them? I would really appreciate it if you could give me some advice on this.

Thank you

Here is the online form:

https://egov.uscis.gov/coa/displayCOAForm.do

It's what USCIS says to do (see "Have pending applications or petitions..." row):

https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange

From this point forward begin to use the new address fir everything.

I submitted as the petitioner for my fiancé and received NOA1 one March 8. The current processing window is 5-7 months according to the USCIS website. How possible is it that we hear back before the 5 month estimated time frame? She is from Canada if that matters.

They have sped up the process so somewhere in the 3-4 month range. Your mileage may vary.

For the most part, USCIS official estimates have a lower bound of when they expect 50% of the petitions or applications to be adjucated, and an upper bound of when they expect ~90% to be. Which means if you're playing at home, 50% of petitions will be adjucated before the lower bound number.

Also, their estimates are quite conservative even figuring that in.

That does not mean everyone's case will take less than the official estimates; many take about that long, and some even take longer.
