Congratulations!

How did you receive your notification?

I was just checking the old site as I do every day and it said: "case was approved". After seeing that I checked the case tracker app and it was the same. That is how I found out. The hard copy will probably arrive in the next days.

I got my physical NOA2 in the mail! It's official!

I got two though.... is that normal? I received two envelopes with the same acceptance letter.

Thought that was a little strange.

The day you applied they were running a 2 for 1 sale hence you got to acceptance letters for the price of one. :jest:Nothing here to be concerned about. Good luck on the next steps.

Hello everyone, I've been lurking on this site for awhile and thought by now I'd sign up to seek and offer moral support to anyone else filing for a K-1.

Our NOA1 date is March 20th. Personally, I was settling in to not hear anything about it for a good 5-6 months, but after reading posts on previous months' filers, I dare lately to have hope that we might get our NOA2 in late June.

I have been to see my fiance two times in Turkey. Our plan originally was to have her spend a few months here on a tourist visa, and then either on a second trip to the U.S. or sometime between her first and second visit that we would file for the fiance visa. Unfortunately, Elif was denied a tourist visa 2x. It was very heartbreaking to us, but we decided I would come to Turkey again, we'd have our engagement ceremony and then file the K-1 application whcih we've now done. Our immigration lawyer states she feels we "have an approvable case". She doesn't mince words, obviously. So anyway, here I am, and good luck to all the March filers. Reading some of your stories has helped with our moral. This process is one of the most painful and anxious things I've ever gone through, but what else would you do for love, eh?

Hi! I've been 'lurking' on the site as well 🙂  and our NOA1 date is also March 20th - my fiance is in Nigeria as well. Crossing fingers for an approval in the coming days/weeks!

Good day! I was wondering how I would know where my pory of entry is and I could change that to another state. Looking to move soon away from the intended place

POE is what you choose. You do not need any permission.  Your POE will be the first airport you land on that is US soil.

Nigeria is one of the most difficult and the longest amongst many. You need to be in this thread https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/679202-k1-visa-procedures-for-nigeria-only/ to understand what you are facing.

Hello & good day to everyone! Just want to ask if anyone has any idea if the case will have longer process time if my fiance is an US service member and I am Vietnamese? I saw a few conversations about some countries will be more difficult than others. and since my fiance is a service member, not sure if this might be a difficult case.

Both Military status and Vietnamese citizens do not overly influence the application process.  You'll be fine.

Yesterday was a great day for March filers.  I'm hoping that the streak continues today!  I'm happy to see everyone getting one step closer to being with the person they love.

My estimated approval date is my birthday and I'll be spending it in Panama.  It would be great if we got the approval notification while we are together.

Not a birthday, but I can understand how you feel.  We will spend a week together next month around the time of our estimated NOA2.  It would be nice to hear -something- when we're together.

Thank you for this. So if my fiancee would have a connecting flight from the Philippines to JFK then Norfolk, VA. JFK would be her POE? I saw that some take a while to process in their POE, so is it best to book both flights separately?
