Hello Everyone,

I am new to this website and I finally found the thread for March 2019 I-129F Filers. I sent my I129F package via USPS on March 25, 2019, it was received by USCIS by March 26. I received my NOA1 on April 16, 2019. I am waiting for NOA2, so we can move this process forward. But in my humble opinion, the real test of patience and unfathomable stress will begin on the day of the interview at the U.S. embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, because at the end of the day the buck stops there, if you will :(

It's been my experience that the embassy is most times not difficult it's the waiting that "creates havoc" in peoples lives. If you have a bonafide relationship, your documents are in order, your truthful during this process and you are confident then passing the interview is much easier. Visit the sub-forum for your region because that is where you will get "boots on the ground" experience to help you along. See the last link.

What is needed for the interview:

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/ISL_Islamabad.pdf

VJ portal for your county's Embassy (information is old but maybe it will be of some use)

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Pakistan&cty=Islamabad

Sub-forum for your region. This is the place to ask questions of others who are processing through Pakistan, not here.

Welcome go the jungle of waiting March filer! Best of luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.

I am really late to this thread, but I am glad I found it. I got a good packet ready and send it out mid March. It was received March 19th by the California Service Center, so I am just here in the wait with everyone else. Wishing the best of luck of everyone out there, and hoping a lot of people hear something positive soon.

Interviews can be very stressful, for sure. My fiance when she went in for her tourist visa, she was denied both times. It's awful because I couldn't be there to help her or console her when they told her no each time. And she worked so hard to prepare for the interview, dressed nice, brought all of her documents, and she said the consulate workers were so cold to her. I felt awful. She will have to do her interview again obviously for the fiance visa, but I'd like to think they aren't just pushing people through the line like they do with the tourist visa applicants. I'd like to think they carefully consider everything and dismiss applicants so easily.

OLD - Requires Case Number Only

NEW - Requires Registration

Are there benefits to the new website? Seems I'm able to track the case just fine on the old website, no registration or anything.

I have saw where people received an email and the email directs them to the new site to review a "change in their case status."

Lately, a lot of people haven't been receiving any electronic notification.  Only a letter in the mail indicating that they were approved.

Last month, there were people who received notification via the old site and not the new site.

Hmm, well I did just register on the new site. I guess though I don't have my Case Verification Number here. Just the old WAC number which doesn't seem to work on the new site.

My wac # works on both old & new sites

I have a habit of checking my online case number daily to see for any updates and I got this one weirdly enough.

image.png.abef2ce0aab94538b5ec0f112b098de1.png

I don't quite understand this? It says my name on my I-129F was updated today.

"On May 22, 2019, we updated your name for your Form I-129F"

I haven't made any changes to my i-129 since I submitted it so I don't understand this exactly.

This update doesn't show up on the new site, however. Just the old one.

Usually means they corrected a typo or something, but the important thing is that it means someone was working on your case, which usually means a more definitive update (aka an approval or RFE) soon.
