Hello everyone, I've been lurking on this site for awhile and thought by now I'd sign up to seek and offer moral support to anyone else filing for a K-1.

Our NOA1 date is March 20th. Personally, I was settling in to not hear anything about it for a good 5-6 months, but after reading posts on previous months' filers, I dare lately to have hope that we might get our NOA2 in late June.

I have been to see my fiance two times in Turkey. Our plan originally was to have her spend a few months here on a tourist visa, and then either on a second trip to the U.S. or sometime between her first and second visit that we would file for the fiance visa. Unfortunately, Elif was denied a tourist visa 2x. It was very heartbreaking to us, but we decided I would come to Turkey again, we'd have our engagement ceremony and then file the K-1 application whcih we've now done. Our immigration lawyer states she feels we "have an approvable case". She doesn't mince words, obviously. So anyway, here I am, and good luck to all the March filers. Reading some of your stories has helped with our moral. This process is one of the most painful and anxious things I've ever gone through, but what else would you do for love, eh?

Welcome!! 😀

CONGRATS to all you March approvals this has me so excited!! We sent our application March 1, our NOA1 is dated March 4 (we received the letter & the website was updated on March 8th). Zero indications of an NOA2 yet on our end. I'm Canadian (NB) and my Fiance is in Florida. I'm currently visiting him so we're make a big spectacle out of checking the mail every day lol. Our VJ estimate is June 15, over a month earlier than originally predicted! While this is all very exciting our consulate still seems to be moving slow so we're still predicting it will be a 8-9 month process from filing to visa in hand assuming there's no hiccups. Every day I think of something new that we might have screwed up in the application, and have a mini panic attack until someone assures me it's all okay. My Fiance and I have started watching 90 Day Fiance as a joke, assuring ourselves that if these people can get approved, we'll have no problem 😜

I started watching that show too! It makes me awfully angry that some of those people get approved while we in legitimate relationships are waiting around.

What makes you think they were allowed into the USA if they weren't approved. EVERYONE  must walk the same road you are. There are no shortcuts. Besides, you were promised an answer from USCIS On your application BUT they didn't promise a date that you would receive a yes or no answer.  More patience is needed.

Yesterday I got a notice on USPS Informed Delivery that I had a piece of mail arriving, but they didn't scan the image for it.

I called my nephew and told him to check the mail as soon as it arrives and to call me because I was expecting something important.

It turns out that it was a piece of junk mail. :lol::lol:

I bet my mail delivery person has never seen a person that anxious to be handed a credit card offer!

He was referring to an actual Visa (credit card).

(technically there's no real pre-approval for that either, but that's a different thread)

As of today it looks like there are already 10 NOA2 approvals for March filers.  Good to see the volume of March approvals increasing this quickly.

I hope the week continues to be positive.

That's great news! I'm keeping sure not to expect ANYTHING for the month of May. Managing your expectations for this sort of thing is a whole skill set alone.
