I saw in the Feb thread that someone with an NOA2 date of 2/28/19 got approved.

My daily routine:  Log in to Visa Journey, check the old USCIS site, check the new USCIS site, check informed delivery.

I get to sort through all of my "junk mail" online and don't have to worry about it when I get home.  That's one good thing about this process.  🙂

Gotta love informed delivery eh? My boss is already aware of what I have going on so if I leave in the middle of the day to go home and get the mail, he knows why :D

Same! We just signed up for Informed Delivery with USPS so we don’t miss a thing. Our NOA1 date is March 4 so feeling like new information, whether an RFE or NOA2, could be coming any day now! We’ve been waiting to set a wedding date until we get an interview date, so that has me more anxious than anything else.

My NOA1 is for the same date! Hoping to hear back sooon :)

Hello everyone, I've been lurking on this site for awhile and thought by now I'd sign up to seek and offer moral support to anyone else filing for a K-1.

Our NOA1 date is March 20th. Personally, I was settling in to not hear anything about it for a good 5-6 months, but after reading posts on previous months' filers, I dare lately to have hope that we might get our NOA2 in late June.

I have been to see my fiance two times in Turkey. Our plan originally was to have her spend a few months here on a tourist visa, and then either on a second trip to the U.S. or sometime between her first and second visit that we would file for the fiance visa. Unfortunately, Elif was denied a tourist visa 2x. It was very heartbreaking to us, but we decided I would come to Turkey again, we'd have our engagement ceremony and then file the K-1 application whcih we've now done. Our immigration lawyer states she feels we "have an approvable case". She doesn't mince words, obviously. So anyway, here I am, and good luck to all the March filers. Reading some of your stories has helped with our moral. This process is one of the most painful and anxious things I've ever gone through, but what else would you do for love, eh?

Thanks for sharing your story @Elif_and_Greg

I'm sorry to hear about the tourist visa denial, but I'm happy that you're still able to spend time with your fiancé.

Take lots of photos together and enjoy the time spent.

My fiancé and I have made a "game" of taking screenshots during our whatsapp conversations and making fun of the horrible photos that we capture.  It sounds goofy, but it's additional "proof" of an ongoing relationship, and it also gives us something else to talk about other than the I-129 approval process, and the hunt for different documents.

Thank you, @Mimiso and @TandClaudia

Heh, yeah personally I'd be fine with the Turkish consulate seeing our text messages on Whatsapp if it helped. They'd see it goes back as far as at least a year and we are talking every day on it. But then of course it would also take forever to remove all of our explicit messages to one another! I try also to regularly send her letters in the mail. Sending a few packages of snacks to Turkey is ridiculously expensive, but if you're just sending a letter it's a few dollars. I read also it's good that she save all that and bring it to her consulate interview.

I can understand the frustration with the tourist visa.  I have spent a considerable amount of time visiting China for nearly 2 years because she couldn't get a tourist visa.  Sometimes it makes me jealous to read about how couples see each other freely and often.  I am fortunate to have a decent amount of vacation time but it would be much better if she could spend some extended time here.  I have taken many "long weekends" to travel halfway around the world to spend time together but I admit, it does get tiring sometimes.  As most of us already know, the separation is the hardest part, however the shorter processing times have us feeling optimistic.

Good luck

Ah yeah...it's my understanding that it's harder than ever now for a woman to come to America alone on a tourist visa. We were seriously shocked when she was denied the second time as we documented our case so much better, had sworn statements on invite letters to make sure she returns to her country, and Elif had proof of a job and family and everything in her home country.

I was lucky that each time I was in Turkey I got to spend about 10 days there. But now I just have to be at work for awhile and save my leave for when it really counts.
