hiiii!!! New here! We filed March 20, 2019 and was received March 22, 2019. I heard maybe filing in the winter-ish months is faster than summer months. HERE's to a hopefully speedy process, I need to be back in the US by mid-fall 2019. I am going over to Serbia in July to live with him till the interview. Ahhhhh!!!

I downloaded the case tracker app today and have been playing around with it.   There's a function where you can search for your case number, and it will also show the status of the cases that have a number that is close to yours.

Once the search is complete, you can filter it by the form that was filed and it will show you the different case statuses.

It's amazing to see the number of I-129Fs that are immediately rejected because of no signature. :o

Which app did you use? When I search USCIS case tracker I get quite a few options. Plus I thought I read somewhere there wasn't an official app....but maybe I misunderstood.  Thanks for you help!

Most people use the second one. And yes, none of them is an official one from USCIS. But it's easier to open the app instead of the homepage.

On one hand, there are probably fewer petitions filed in winter (looking at the last 12 months of timelines, and ignoring the most recent 3 months because people drop in over time so the numbers are lower there... May, June, and August had about a third again more timelines created than July, September, October, November, or January and nearly twice as many as December). On the other, if your processing times goes through the end of November and December you run into winter holidays which slows things down a bit there too (because USCIS and consular employees have vacations and holidays too -- and on the consular side they may very well have US and local holidays off).

For Dec 2017- Mar 2018, IIRC, things didn't really speed up or slow down much; it was in the really slow processing period and stayed that way. For Dec 2018 to March 2019, it looks like the trend of processing times going down that was already happening continued at least through Dec 2018 and Jan 2019 filers.

Greenbaum's Tips:

Here is a tool to see others from your country and see where they are in the process especially those who are near your submit dates.

Go to the top blue ribbon and select "portals" (you can select your flag from your profile) and then along the left column scroll down to the last section titled "VJ (your country name) timelines. Select K-1 and out populates a chart with all those from your country and you can then see where you are in comparison to others.

The first of the February 2019 filers  are starting to get approved, if this trend continues you all will be up next in no time at all. A bit of advice I would not put to much importance on those apps, they work for some for others like me it just added to my stress level so I uninstalled it. Anyway your mileage may vary using them...get ready you all are in the box next!!!!!!

We are good to go. Our prayers were answered.   She has been trying to renew her passport for 2 years and last week she got the email that she has been waiting for.  She has an appointment next week to get her updated passport and couldn’t be happier.

Thank you for asking!

I am thankful for this forum. It is encouraging and very helpful.

My timeline has once again been updated.

"your I129f may be adjudicated between June 19, 2019 and June 26, 2019"

Wow! It has moved up a whole month since my first prediction when I filed. Again, I know this isn't 100% accurate but it is exciting. I hope it all goes that fast for all of us March filers. :)

I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything here. Once we received NOA1, we just sit back and wait for NOA2, correct?

Yes.  And pray that you don't get an RFE:unsure:

I'm using my time to visit my future wife, to resolve a few document related issues (birth certificate and passport), get her immunizations, and make my house look less like a bachelor pad.  It's hard to believe that it has been 2 months already since filing.
