Are you using ceac.state.gov and entering "immigrant" and your case number? If you just got your case number it takes about 24 hours for ceac to update.

Yeah. I just checked again and it's now showing "Administrative Processing": Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

Just gotta play the waiting game and hope nothing else comes up! :P

Someone told my fiancé that he needs to have his high school diploma translated for the k1 interview . I am super stressed out because we didn’t do that and we have interview on 19th .  Does anyone knows if we really need that or not ?

I have never heard that a HS diploma is needed for any family based visa. I do not have a P3 letter that list the required documents for your embassy where most I have so when you receive your copy can you share it with me so I can help others who come behind you? Thanks.

Here is where your embassy website sent me this is what they ask for with required documents.

Required Documentation

You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview:

  • Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-2 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your interview.
  • A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).
  • Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor
  • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)
  • Medical examination (vaccinations are optional, see below)
  • Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)
  • Two (2) 2x2 photographs. See the required photo format explained in Photograph Requirements
  • Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e)
  • Payment of fees, as explained below

Note: The consular officer may ask for additional information, such as photographs and other proof that the relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e) is genuine. Documents in foreign languages, other than the language of the country in which the application takes place, should be translated. Applicants should take to the visa interview clear, legible photocopies of civil documents and translations, such as birth and divorce certificates. Original documents and translations will be returned.

I have not heard that or read that in our Packet 3, nor have I seen that requirement at any stage so far. I think we should both be good as long as everything checks off in the P3 and supporting evidence. The beauty of it is that I go the day before you. I'll try to write a review that day once my fiance is done with his interview to let you know how it went. Best Wishes!:)

Also, do you know if we will receive the visa the same day as it says in the P3? I've seen a timeline from an 'Azerbaijan to Georgia' applicant where they received it the next day, Georgian applicants of course 3-5 days later. . Just trying to see if my fiance will have to adjust his travel plans while there or not.

My friend got 3 hours after interview. I hope it’s the same day ! I bought tickets back week after . We gonna spend one week in Georgia just to have pre marriage Vacation.🤩. And yes I would love to see the review about interview because I am super duper nervous for him.

The visa is not approved until it is issued. Also, you'll find this statement in most P3 letters.

Please be advised that no advance assurance can be given as to when or whether a visa will be issued. You should NOT give up your job, dispose of your property, or make any final travel arrangements until you receive your passport with the visa.
