It's been taking 30 days for USCIS to send the files to NVC. It takes on average NVC 2 - 3 weeks to assign a number. Then another 1-2 weeks, depending on where you are in the shipping cycle for your file to be sent to your embassy. Another 2-7 business days before your embassy sets your record to ready condition. These are all based on averages and your mileage may vary.

They ship every other Tuesdays and Wednesday ALL day. No one can tell you with any certainty that your case will ship or has shipped. Just keep checking CEAC for an update.

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fiancé (e)s/spouses approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Madrid, Spain. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiancé (e)/spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition.

Next steps:
Go to our website http://nvc.state.gov/k1 to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa interview.
 

No that does not mean it's on the way. It's an pad answer. K-1 are treated differently then an immigrant visa which this is referring to.  You need to go to ceac.state.gov and enter immigrant and your case number for the most current condition of your file. I gave some additional information in another post that this was talked about. Good luck.

 

The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (ceac.state.gov/). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non-immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

HA!  So, I got the e-mail from NVC with my case number.  HOORAY!  Special thanks to @Greenbaum for keeping us all sane (somewhat).  Should I wait the 24 hours before I try to search for it at CEAC?  Also, it asks for an "Invoice ID Number", which I tried to leave empty and it requires it.  I know it has been asked before, but I forgot to take note on that.

CEAC is looking for the case number from NVC, so you shouldn't need the invoice ID number. Some are using the DS-160 confirmation number which is a bit quicker in the search. Select immigrant and then enter your case number. You should have the most current status.

Got it!  I accidentally clicked on the wrong thing.  Right now it says "in transit", which can mean lots of things, right?  I will just keep checking.

Well, it means your case file is on it's way to your embassy. In a few days you can see it go to ready then start processing what is in your P3 from your country.
