Has there been any situation where case has been received by embassy but Ceac site still shows IN TRANSIT. Case was shipped on 4/16/2019 and also got an email alert about case being sent to my embassy by NVC but it still reads in Transit.

The beneficiary is the only one that needs a PC from a country where they lived for more then 6 months from the age of 16. That's for all embassies. The beneficiary may need one for the local police also but it would say in the letter.

Did you try the DHL hack from my first post in this thread? If so what does it say. Some embassies are slower to receive and set your record to ready.

I checked the hack but it displays error.

My fiance lived abroad as well so we're getting his police certificate soon. I do believe you need it but if you (the beneficiary) lived abroad. Or are you the petitioner? If so, I don't think you need it at this stage.

Checking your timeline looks to me like your case hasn't arrived at NVC. If I'm correct then you won't be on the next shipment going out next week. More realistic shipping date would be May 14/15.

Whoops thanks for the reminder. I need to update my timeline (I'll do better). It arrived last week. I have my case number already 🙂

Nvc received ours 4/19/19 no case number yet.  I'll call again tomorrow.

my understanding according to the embassy website a police record is needed for all countries where the beneficiary has lived for 6 months or more since age 16. They may not ask for it at the interview but i would definitely get it if that applies to you. its only needed for the beneficiary not the USC
