It takes USCIS a month to send the case to NVC and it takes NVC another 1-2 weeks to assign the NVC case number. You're still too early.

I see. It feels like forever though. Lol

Thank you @Greenbaum

Received the case number today, woohoo! Fiancé has booked his medical for May 16th in London. He'll be calling every day to try to get an earlier appointment. We were hoping for something next week, so we could try to get his interview scheduled while I'm there the last week of May (if anything's available). Regardless, I'm sooooo excited to finally be at this stage!! (L)

I have a question. Once you have the NVC case number what will you do with it? Do you gain anything from getting it via the phone?

Oh sorry i was on the phone with my fiance and did not read the whole things.

Once i got the NVC case number, I'll use it to book medical check up and i could use the case number to track on ceac website about my case status. And fill up DS160. Ask my fiance to send me the I134 and the supporting documents for the interview.

Hard to get through them via phone call but I followed your direction on the first page of this thread and my fiance had updated our email address too at the nvc link

I am afraid of your timeline. You haven't factored in if your case doesn't ship next week. Or that your case once it arrives doesn't get set to "ready" prior to your interview date. You're walking a fine tightrope and in your exuberance I'm hoping you have considered those possibilities. JMHO.

I am painfully aware that my hopeful timeline is just one very possible delay from not happening haha! We're not planning for him to arrive in the US before August, so we'll be okay if I can't attend his interview. Would be darn nice though lol.

Don't forget to factor in that the validity of the visa is normally based on the medical exam date.

Well, it was back and forth but that's how you iron out the wheat from the chaff. That's how I learn and when done I have something to share with others when their question is posed. Thank God for OneNote.

Do not buy airline tickets that are not changeable. I have seen too many situations that the visa was delayed for a number of reasons and the couple had to incure additional costs such as wedding deposits and airline fares. Just something to consider.

Embassies will tell you this either on their web page instructions or in the P3.

"Visa issuance is not guaranteed. Therefore, we recommend that you do NOT make any travel plans, quit your job, or sell your properties, purchase airline tickets that are non-refundable or place deposits for wedding venue's until a consular officer has approved your visa and it has been issued."

The only airline ticket that is already booked is the dogs lol!!! as they have to be done in advance due to the breed but they are booked under my fiancee name to pick up....  wedding venue is a beautiful local park that have agreed we can change if needs be :)  my airline will be booked after the visa interview (whispers i may have read your advice before)
