MARCH 2019 K-1 NOA2 ----> NVC

So, my NOA2 was approved on March 26th and I got the physical letter on April 1st.  It seems I am one of those cases that has taken a little bit more than the three weeks or so (I know it can take UP TO 6 weeks, though).  Anyone around these dates that is still waiting?  Or any additional info I can get?  Not freaking out, just asking.  Our DS-160 is pretty much done and most of the things I know we would need.  We are just "stuck" waiting.  Aren't we all though? 🤣

The caec said it was ready and just followed the information on the UK embassy website to schedule the interview. Had everything ready so was just waiting for it to change to ready we could have got an earlier appointment they offered Friday to start  but my medical is tomorrow so wanted to wait.

Do not buy airline tickets that are not changeable. I have seen too many situations that the visa was delayed for a number of reasons and the couple had to incure additional costs such as wedding deposits and airline fares. Just something to consider.

Embassies will tell you this either on their web page instructions or in the P3.

"Visa issuance is not guaranteed. Therefore, we recommend that you do NOT make any travel plans, quit your job, or sell your properties, purchase airline tickets that are non-refundable or place deposits for wedding venue's until a consular officer has approved your visa and it has been issued."

If I buy the insurance, etc. for the plane tickets, is that a more feasible option?  We are not buying the plane tickets until we have everything.  But, we do want to buy them about 2 weeks out from the interview AND buy insurance.  Is that smart?

It's only smart if you can change the ticket without incurring additional fees. If you buy insurance be sure you determine that changing a ticket for your circumstance is covered.

This is direct from your P3 letter that I shared with you a few days ago. My advice is to begin using your P3 that I sent you to prepare for the interview and if anything changes when you receive your copy from the embassy then double check that everything is still being required. Something like scheduling your interview for Columbia would probably not change so it's safe to follow from what I have sent you. AND this is a question, that should be posed in your sub-forum as someone from a different embassy will have different instructions. Following their advice (and they are having good intentions in helping you) could land you in a quagmire.

THIRD: Pay the application fee and schedule your interview at https://ais.usvisa-info.eom/en-co/iv/information/k visa. NOTE: You must schedule two appointments through this online system - (1) at an Applicant Service Center for fingerprinting and (2) at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota for your consular interview. (If you have questions about how to use this website, please follow the instructions on page 3.)

Have you connected yet with your sub-forum to ask "Or any additional info I can get?" Link is below. Here is other information that I may or may not have given you. It's advisable that you go through it to determine your "readiness" for the interview.

Here is thee P3 for Argentina:

Next, this is the Argentina US Embassy webpage:

I am still waiting. My NOA 2 was on March 27. Hopefully it comes soon enough. My fiance will call NVC tomorrow. God speed! Good luck for us.

It takes USCIS a month to send the case to NVC and it takes NVC another 1-2 weeks to assign the NVC case number. You're still too early.

I have a question. Once you have the NVC case number what will you do with it? Do you gain anything from getting it via the phone?
