Why do you have to wait for the Embassy to receive your case?  You can complete the DS-160 with a case number. You create your payment account and make your interview fee  payment. You can maybe schedule your medical but check the information below. Sorry I filled up your weekend with stuff to do. :D

Here is some information I have. Sorry for the scan as it is tilted on its side but still readable. https://photos.state.gov/libraries/bahamas/231771/PDFs/quick guide.pdf

From the portals tab http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Bahamas&cty=Nassau

And here is the information on the Embassy's website for your country https://bs.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Thanks! I appreciate your help.

No need to be in such a bundle of nerves. You're going to be in front of the CO at USEM for not more than 5 min. 3-5 questions tops. If you reaced this far you are approved for the visa, unless your a derelict and you don't seem to be one. Crazy maybe but not a hoodlum. So relax it's all good. If USCIS wanted that address they would have issued a RFE and they didn't so relax. Oy Vey!

HAHAHAHA thank you @Greenbaum that put my mind at ease, you've been very helpful :) yes i am a bit crazy hahaha but heck not a hoodlum Lol

Hi,

Firstly, Thank you to @Greenbaum  for all useful tips and guidance over the past few months.

For the edification of future applicants let me point out that I have discovered that for the Bahamas (US Embasy Nassau) you cannot pay ahead of their e-mail notifying you that your file has been received. I understand that you will be probided payment instructions therein.

DS160

I have taken the liberty however, complete the DS160 form....found it a bit lengthy, but not horribly difficult to complete. I am not sure it was the right/wrong thing to do but it is done.

Further, I called the Embassy twice to enquire about next steps i.e. paying the requisite fee ($260 or $265 thereabouts) and was advised by the rep. to stand down until I have receieved he e-mail (as beneficiary to pay for/advance ro the next steps (Medical and Interview).

I hope this is helpful and brings some clarity.

Have a great weekend all! Happy Easter (as applies)!

p.s. I have also read that some persons in the past did not receive an email and had to e-mail/call the Embassy if they do not to request an interview date/packet 3 etc. in order to mobe forward.

Same for Jamaica also. You can fill out the DS160 with your WAC number, get that bar code printed and ready to go

Go and gather all the paperwork needed (police record, no impediment to marriage, etc) that is Jamaica specific....that takes up to 2 weeks

then wait xoxo

Thanks so much. I'll have him call if we don't receive the P3 in the next 2-3 weeks.

In the Philippines we don't get the packets just the eligibility letter.
