I'd lay odds that if you call Monday  you might be surprised. Make that call then daily after that if you need to. Let us know  the outcome of your call.

My fiance called yesterday! They received our case recently and told us to call again in a couple of days to get our case number 😊😊😊

I am wondering if USCIS (like NVC) just send approved application 2/3 times a month too which could explain the extra waiting time.

is my understanding correct....you need the file at embassy for interview....HOWEVER you can book and do medical with just the NVC number.  Obvisouly dont book interview until post 4/30 (as an example) to ensure that the file is recieved at embassy

Im not sure  about your embassy  each one is different  and allows you to do different  things you might want to consult your countries subforum. But generally yes  youll need  the NVC letter that has your number on it.

Called today, the 0888 number got me through right away. They gave me our case number. I'm not sure what to do with it tho...since I'm not booking anything until the Embassy receives our case.

Why do you have to wait for the Embassy to receive your case?  You can complete the DS-160 with a case number. You create your payment account and make your interview fee  payment. You can maybe schedule your medical but check the information below. Sorry I filled up your weekend with stuff to do. :D

Here is some information I have. Sorry for the scan as it is tilted on its side but still readable. https://photos.state.gov/libraries/bahamas/231771/PDFs/quick guide.pdf

From the portals tab http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Bahamas&cty=Nassau

And here is the information on the Embassy's website for your country https://bs.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

No need to be in such a bundle of nerves. You're going to be in front of the CO at USEM for not more than 5 min. 3-5 questions tops. If you reaced this far you are approved for the visa, unless your a derelict and you don't seem to be one. Crazy maybe but not a hoodlum. So relax it's all good. If USCIS wanted that address they would have issued a RFE and they didn't so relax. Oy Vey!

From reading your question it seems you didn't read the information I shared with you about your embassy and what are the next steps which include every answer to your questions above. I'll share them again, in the event the dog ate them.
