I received that email above as well.  I haven't been calling NVC either because I am so drained from this  whole process.  Does it make a difference if I call?  I am good with just knowing when it gets to the embassy if that is an option.  Does calling make it quicker? Also @FaithProfessoR congratulations with your baby on the way, you have seemed like such a positive person- wishing both of you the best!

It does not make any difference in the speed, but calling NVC does get you your case number in advance of the email which is a good thing. I would be calling daily. BTW we are ALL drained from this process but you just have to keep going to get to the end result.

My case is already being in transit.

I got an email from nvc today and went to ceac website and it got updated.

Unfortunately, my case is being sent to guangzhou, instead of seoul so I requested a case transfer.

I dont know whats up with my case since its proceeding faster than others overall but thankfully the guangzhou embassy said they will transfer the case once they have it in their hands next week!

This must be a systemic issue several other cases have been incorrectly sent to the wrong embassy, China in-particular, something internal I would imagine.

Thats why once it gets close to your case number being assigned say after 10 business days at NVC it's worth it to call daily. You never know what happens from day to day at NVC, it's not like USCIS per-say!!!!
