@Greenbaum Could you please comment on this? Thank you

Yes GUZ sends you a list of documents  you return them and they allow you schedule your appointment.

The GUZ P3 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp#KVisaPetitions

P3 Letter for China:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1gcrLW0OCkGfdz43tehWNmgDayJUrRTdj/view?usp=sharing

U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. K visa applicants will be notified by the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. You cannot schedule your interview appointment till such time as you have been sent the P3 letter from the Embassy and have returned the requested documents.

Here is some help from other members here on VJ:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/94-china/

And the Portal here on VJ for processing in China and what to expect
http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=China&cty=Guangzhou

and the http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp

Don't waste time while you're waiting for P3, complete DS-160 and print confirmation page. Since you are from China go to the 2nd link below and click immigrant to register under K1 visa. After you register and enter info it should be clear on how to pay fee, make sure you print bank deposit slip. Just follow directions under Nonimmigrant Visa, but make sure when you register K1 is under Immigrant Visa.

Directions go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-niv-visaapply.asp

Register(Create Account) https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=China

After you register make sure to choose K1 visa under Immigrant, it wasn't an option for under non-immigrant.

I received that email above as well.  I haven't been calling NVC either because I am so drained from this  whole process.  Does it make a difference if I call?  I am good with just knowing when it gets to the embassy if that is an option.  Does calling make it quicker? Also @FaithProfessoR congratulations with your baby on the way, you have seemed like such a positive person- wishing both of you the best!

Calling either USCIS or NVC does not make your process go any faster.  Getting your case number allows you to check your status on CEAC.state.gov so you know when it is set to ready condition at your embassy.

My case is already being in transit.

I got an email from nvc today and went to ceac website and it got updated.

Unfortunately, my case is being sent to guangzhou, instead of seoul so I requested a case transfer.

I dont know whats up with my case since its proceeding faster than others overall but thankfully the guangzhou embassy said they will transfer the case once they have it in their hands next week!

Ok....here is what is going on.  I have my NOA2 letter.

I have looked on old and new USCIS site and both say "case was received" so that is in conflict to my NOA2 letter

I sent an email per page 1 to get my email updated with NVC and I got this email back this am.  Should i be concerned or just trust the process?:

Trust the process. Many things lag behind in reporting and therefor not always accurate. Getting on the phone or emailing is a waste of time. Your record is moving along as designed.

My reply was centered on you wasting time, like most do here when your going to get the same response. I answered your question directly with my reply. It's all good.
