Yeah, they told me up to 8 weeks on the 2nd of April. I called back today and they had the number. Talk about sandbaggin'!!

:wow:that's terrible that they are sandbaggin'. They could have said it will be on the 1st of April and if you called and it wasn't ready, boy oh boy could you have given them the business. But yet it was complete on 4/2 and they're "sandbaggin'". They never promised you anything other then an answer. Their answer was ready when they completed their process which was on their timetable and NOT yours. They would have sent you the NVC letter with your case number as this is the only correspondence they provide which you knew going in. So they held up their end of the bargain but in your opinion they are sandbaggers.

This is a process. They give you an answer every step of the way. They give you the tools to follow your case. What more do you want. They don't have a "gotta have it now" process. They have the gold and they get to make the rules. You don't have the gold so you get to follow the rules. Just an observation.

Hi!! I will just ask if when did you received your noa 2? I received mine march 11, we already call NVC. We already have a MNL case number but don't receive yet our nvc letter..

The letter from NVC for the Philippines is not that important. You need the Embassy Eligibility letter to complete your medical. Further information can be found in the links below. Best place to ask questions about the Philippines process is in the sub-forum for the PI. Link is below. Also, Hank's has a website with all current information and forms and what to do. Also, that link is below. Good luck.

This letter has worked for others to correct errors or for missing documentation or errors that you would like to update, correct or add.

Additional information can be found here:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/index.html?firstTime=No

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

No it is not a big deal. They will take all your financial information into account and add that to your other submitting's before they render a decision. Just a side note; once you are at the interview stage your visa is pretty much approved. The CO is there to review your case, apply it against the customs and laws of your country and if they see nothing wrong your approved before you even open your mouth. If they see something in your history then they will present it at the interview for clarification. If the answer you give is acceptable then they move on till they are complete with the questioning. Most interviews last 5 min with only 3 questions asked.

@Greenbaum on this same line how old should a letter of employment be. I've heard many versions many dates what is acceptable?

USCIS is like a box of chocolates, you never know what kind of answer you are going to get!!!!

There isn't one standard but I would advise not more than 90 days or as close to the interview as possible.

So here's a question for you, @Greenbaum & @Sarge2155

I was just in the DR with my fiance at the end of February/beginning of March. We didn't expect to receive our NOA2 until June or so at the time we made our plans.  I will not be able to return until July. Money is a factor, but work is also a factor. There is zero chance of me using any vacation time in June and May is coming up too fast. Do you think it would count against us if we delay the interview until July?
