I got the NOA2 by mail on 25 March for the receipt date of 18 March. It took us 8 months to wait for this NOA2 and now I feel so relieved to join you guys.

I have a question which may sound stupid but I just can't find any answer from Google yet.

I am Vietnamese but living in U.A.E. for 4 years. When we file the i-129f, we have registered the case to be transferred to the U.S. Embassy in U.A.E. for the interview. After went through many topics, I am so confused because people said that the case will be transferred to the country of origin (in my case is Vietnam). Is there anybody has experience about this? I don't want to go back to Vietnam for the interview as I don't live there for so long and it will be difficult for me to require for police certificate.

Appreciate any reply from you guys.

And congratulation to those who also received the NOA2!!!

It doesn't surprise me that you are set and have a plan and your working your plan. From the early part of seeing you guys here on VJ I sensed that you knew what you were doing and only needed to be guided and once you were at the information you would use it to your advantage. I wish you luck on your VJ.

Thank you very much! :)

Two things.

1. Can you change your profile to reflect your interview will take place in the UAE. Seeing Vietnam, I am ready to answer your question but find that you are using the USE as your place of interview. Most of us answer questions on two items; timeline and embassy. Thanks.

2. If you wish to have your immigrant/fiancée visa file transferred from one Embassy to another U.S. Embassy/Consulate, please contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy/Consulate directly in the country where you wish to apply and follow their instructions for case transfer. Please click here for the full list of all U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas.

The old Embassy will need to receive a formal file transfer request from that U.S. Embassy/Consulate in the country where you wish to apply. Upon receipt of this request, they will immediately forward the file for the New Embassy to process.

Once you contact your New Embassy you then can discuss the transfer of your fee. Be sure to have your payment receipt available.

If your case goes from embassy to embassy then NO you don't get a new case number. The case number will began with original alpha nomenclature ie. AAAXXXXXXXXXX. If her case comes from NVC then you will have a case number starting with the embassy that you will interview in. To make your payment using your old embassy's case number you establish your profile with that case number then you link your payment to your profile.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

Next shipment date is tomorrow, depending on when your case number was assigned it may possibly be in tomorrow’s shipment.

You are correct. I just checked and it says that it is now in transit. Very excited.

Does anyone know how to post on a country specific page? I looked all over and can't seem to find out how to post there.

So its from NVC. It has your case number. Looks to be a letter. Mmmmm what do you think? If you don't know the answer I'll give you a clue. Go to Hanks website and look for NVC letter. Then compare yours against his. ALL the answers are there but you refuse to use the information right in front of you. Oy Vey. Hand slap to my forehead.

Sorry haha. I was skeptical cause it didn’t have the logo and a barcode on the side.
