Do I have to wait for the hard copy of my NOA2 before I update my email address with NVC

I feel like a deer in headlights lol

No as soon as you know  you  are approved I'd fire off that email to NVC.

Update: I called the NVC today, and they received our file. Hopefully we'll get the case number in a few days. :)

So your NOA2 is 03/12/2019.  How this guys work? Do they organize like a batch by week? Or by country? My NOA2 is on 03/21/2019 I got to wait even more? 💆🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤔

Every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday's. Some will go at other times as they are sent electronically. Philippines some do go elec and others paper. China most all go electronically. Next shipment is tomorrow April 2. Next one after that will be April 16.

If this a fact. How can we know which countries work electronically and which one they don’t. I am planning to call them on 04/08/2019 that will be 18 days since my NOA2.

When will I get a chance to update my fiance's phone number before moving forward?  His phone number changed while we were waiting on the NOA2.  E-mail addresses are still the same, and my phone number is still current.  Thoughts?

There is no list. This activity has been reported by other users. Seems China is ahead of the pack with many reporting that this was the case for their file. A few from the Philippines and now today I heard someone from Canada had their file sent electronically. I haven't confirmed and sometimes I suspect it is someone who's file was sent via DHL but they neglected to follow either DHL or CEAC and they woke up one day to the knowledge that it was there. So, buyer beware.

Beneficiary's phone number and address does not need to be updated until the file ships to the Embassy. You will update beneficiary's information using the DS-160 which the Embassy relies on for their information.

Relax! What difference does it make at this point in your journey. When your file is approved it continues onto the next station, then the next one and then the next one. Simple. And I guarantee it will not move any faster with you stomping your feet. Just my experience.

Sarge. Do you remember boot camp when everyone from everywhere arrived at boot camp and some had long hair, some from the country, some from the Ivy League school basically from all walks of life. And it was the drill sergeants job to get them squared away in six weeks and then graduation and then the next batch arrives. I sometimes feel like the drill sergeant. There are times that I just can't wait till graduation Tuesday arrives. Oy Vey. :D

Exactly exactly with each new month of filers thats a new group of (Joe`s) although you can't say Joe's  nowadays. That's exactly what it feels like, I was  Drill Sergeant so I know  the deal. But once they graduate  you have such a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Hey guys!

I was just being proactive by completing the DS-160 form for my fiancee and having a question about the "Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa, or been refused......" question.

In 2018, she applied for a B1/B2 visa in order to visit me (although that's not the reason she put in the DS-160). Despite this part, anything else was put down correctly and carefully. Later her visa was refused. I think it's because she didn't have enough assets or incomes to show the bonding to her home country.

So in order to answer this question properly, should I select "Yes" and then write "She applied for B1/B2 visa and got refused" in the details box? Is this enough? Will this visa refusal have any impact on K1? Thank you!

Lol. Originally I was hoping to watch the playoffs with my fiancee in the US. *sigh* my team is not going to make it past the first round in playoffs anyway.

Yes if she has ever had a visa refused you need to mark it down as the embassy will know.

Also if you are filling the form out for your fiancée I’d be wary about using ‘she’ instead of ‘i’ as I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be your finance who fills out the form and she will have to sign to that effect at the end.
