You told me that USEM doesn't require the NVC letter and for medical. But I checked on hank's site that it is one of the requirements. So I am a little confused.

Yes it is need for the medical in the ph, I think they will email the letter to us after being shipped to the Us embassy.

Hello everyone,

so my fiance (the petitioner) received i-797c notice of action letter last week. I thought it meant noa2 but now that i look at it the letter is slightly different than other noa2. It says,

”We have mailed the official notice about this case according to the mailer preferences you chose on form G-28 Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative.

The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance.”

we did hire a lawyer but he didnt receieve noa2 letter yet. What does this mean? How come they didnt send it to nvc? There wasn’t any consulate that was listed on the paper.

Both websites said we got approved so I know for sure that letter is related to noa2.

Go with what is on Hank's website. I may have mis-read his instructions when I answered your question. I had gone there to be sure I knew what was required because it has changed so many times in the past 6 months that I too get confused. Hank's been doing this far longer then I. I think he has been here some 10 years and I have faith in his knowledge. Good luck.

What I've seen in other comments is that NVC sends the cases every 2 weeks, I'm not 100% sure it is like that, so, 2nd April they it will be 2 weeks after last batch

We are now here we received our Noa2 today.  Nov. 8th Noa1.  What's next?

TIA

Go to the first page and read the information there. make sure you send NVC an email or inquiry updating your email even if your email did not change. Other than that start getting your documents together that you will send to your beneficiary specific to their embassy and country.

USCIS issues the I-797 Notice of Action when it approves an application or petition. You may also hear people refer to it as an “approval notice.” The Form I-797 Notice of Action is an official letter of approval (NOA2) that can serve as proof of certain immigration benefits (K-1 interview) and may be used as evidence in some cases (NVC to issue a case number).

Since your lawyer is associated with your account should receive a NOA2 in the coming days but there is no guarantee that it will go to him, it may go straight to the petitioner. Your case after approval from USCIS must travel to NVC and NOT to the "listed consulate" for case number assignment. No one else can issue a case number. Once the case number is assigned the approved case will be "forwarded to the listed consulate"

You are getting ahead of yourself and second guessing without real knowledge of the process. Your lawyer should be "schooling you" on what to expect and when to expect it. After all, I believe that's why you are paying them.

I would highly recommend that you, if you haven't already, go to page one of this thread and read the posts as I find that is the best way to gain knowledge of the process. I and other's have made comments on questions that are asked just like yours. If you have questions we are here to help you along.

I called NVC today, and they said my file arrived yesterday, and they already had a case number and invoice number. VisaJourney has been such a great resource! I'm about to send I-134 along with supporting documents over to my fiancée in Russia. Is it best practice to wait until our case arrives in Moscow before completing DS-160 and paying any fee? I understand about scheduling medical, as it was discussed earlier in this thread (if done too early, might expire).
