MARCH 2019 - AOS Filers

So I talked to a lady at our local post office and she said that if my last name matches my husband's last name which is on the mailbox then the mail was supposed to be delivered so it seems it genuinely got lost somewhere and may have not even reached the local post office.

 

If you guys don't have "informed delivery" set up yet, I encourage you to do it. Without it I'd be still waiting for the notice a month from now and most likely missed my interview. 

 

Anyway, uscis tier 1 couldn't even see that the interview was scheduled. All he saw was that they requested my local field office to schedule it and was kind of clueless about what I should do. I can't be thankful enough for VJ and all the information that's on here, because thanks to that I knew I should ask to speak to the tier 2 who can see more information in their system. They put me on "call back" since the waiting time was 480 minutes! They called me after 5 hours of me being incredibly stressed about this as no one was able to help by that point. Basically they told me that if I still don't receive the notice until June 18th, then I should call them with a fax number and they will fax the notice to me. They told me the interview is June 24th. I finally can go relax after dealing with this all day today

03 /11/19- Sent I-130, I-485, I-131 & I-765 
03/18/19 - Arrived at Chicago lockbox

03/20/19- Online status update to We accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485
03/26/19- NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP via mail
04/02/19- Biometrics notice 
04/18/19- Biometrics appointment completed (Oakland Park FL)

No updated until today

On May 28, 2019, we mailed your new card for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC****, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by June 12, 2019, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address

I’m on the same boat I filled for my father we have the same timeline including biometrics appointment, we filed in Orlando FL, you didn’t get an interview for the I-485, were you just approved? Thanks for your input.

Have any March filers received their EAD/AP yet? I know lots of people have had their AOS interview in the faster states but are their any combo cards out there yet?

I don't expect the EAD before September or October. There are still many people from November and December who still hasn't got their EAD yet. The processing time now is between 6,5 months and 8,5 months.

Please show me where EAD/AP takes 6.5-8.5 months...that seems like green card time range.

It's on the official USCIS website. The inquiry date went back to September 20th last Friday.

Unfortunately, it is probably only going to get worse. USCIS are saying the person who is likely to be appointed the new head of USCIS will lead to the end of legal immigration as we know it.

Wow your stuff got done super fast! Makes me feel like EAD/APs could start coming. Was this at all expedited? 1 months after bio is so fast.

Keep in mind this was not a K-1 AoS, but based on Parent/Offspring familial relationship. There was no interview, as there is no question of "bona fide" relationship.

It still says 3-5 monthis for AP. Inquiry dates December.

 

You may be looking at AOS.

I think you skipped the picture above. The AP comes together with the EAD. It's the same card if you applied for both. Don't expect it sooner.
