OMG guys, we just got the interview scheduled!! 😮 I have to wait for the notice to know the exact date but from what I saw in our thread the interview is usually in one month or so from the day the status changed, is that right? Or can it be much later on?

I did not expect that! USCIS processing times for our office are 7.5-24.5 months but according to VJ estimates some people in KC recently had the interview in 3 months after biometrics. Would match our timeline assuming we'll have the interview in a month or so. Crazy!

Congrats that’s awesome!!

We booked flights to visit her family this summer. Perhaps slightly premature since we haven't received her EAD/AP combo card yet, but it seems pretty low risk since the card is supposed to come Friday, and the letter that came in the mail earlier this week explicitly said it would come with a stamp authorizing travel.

Congrats to those who are gaining traction! We are not in a major rush for EAD or GC, but more-so for the AP! We scheduled our Irish Wedding for middle of August (exclusive venue,  limited availability!) almost 18 months back with full understanding of the timelines and pressures! I think we are masochists in the fact that we keep putting ourselves in close-deadline situations! All the rest have worked out quite well. Here's to one last moment of Visa Roulette...Flight out August 8th 😫

Look into expediting AP, I saw one girl did it exactly for the same reason as yours - a wedding planned back home - their reason to expedite was a severe financial loss. I think it took her like 1 month to even get the expedited AP card so if you plan to fly out in August, you may want to start the process at the end of June the latest. There are some threads for that with more information on VJ. I don't know more details. Good luck!

Well my wife is fully prepared to REDO THE ENTIRE K1 PROCESS IF THIS DOESN'T COME THRU! We were going to do an expedite after our relocation (which is this week!). Thanks for the info <3!

This is the post and thread where I saw it. Looks like it took a bit over a month for her. Hope it helps!

Being stuck at home with nothing to do is much more difficult than I thought it could be. Good luck with getting the EAD soon! :)

That's what he's been saying and I get him and I feel bad for him. He used to work for 8 years straight, as soon as he graduated from college, he worked right away. He's not used to being at home for such a long time. Thank you, good luck on your journey as well!

We are in the same boat with our wedding in Germany! 😩😄 we contacted our local congressman to get it expedited. We sent him an email on April 30th and he asked for evidence and we mailed it to him and he sent us a letter saying he contacted the USCIS office so now we’re just waiting for a response .. I would suggest you do the same once you move! Good luck!!!
