Hi everyone,

I filed all my papers aos, ead and ap on the 7th of April and it was delivered on the 8th. I just got noa1 for EAD and AP but nothing for AOS. Is it normal? Cos i thought since i filed all 3 together i should have gotten noa1 fir the three.

Im confused.

Thank you.

NB. The nao1 date was 29th of April.

You should've got all 3 paper NOA1 (I-797C) in 3 separate envelopes. It is possible one of them is still being delivered by USPS.

We only received 2. 1 for the AP/EAD and the other was for the AoS.

Interesting. Did the combined NOA gave you 2 receipt numbers for I-131 and I-765?

I'm very confused.

On USCIS.gov, last month, our I-765 said that our request to have our EAD expedited was "completed" - i.e., that they wanted supporting evidence. My wife and I faxed supporting evidence twice (we had to call in to receive the fax and attention numbers, we haven't received a mail yet), and our congressperson also contacted USCIS last week.

This morning, I received the same set of updates: request assigned to an officer for response; sent a response to have your case expedited; case was completed. What does this mean?

2019-03-19: AOS concurrent filing (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) sent; AOS from F-1 Visa

2019-03-21: AOS package received

2019-03-26: All NOA1s received (dated 3-21)

2019-04-05: Received biometrics notice

2019-04-08: Walk-in biometrics completed

2019-04-10: Received email that case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

2019-04-16: Received email that interview was scheduled

2019-05-28: Green card approved at end of interview; email that case was approved received shortly after!

2021-03-06: I-751 package sent (delivered 03-09)

2021-04-02: $680 personal check fee cashed

2021-04-06: I-797 NOA (18-month extension letter) received, dated 04-01

2021-04-13: Fingerprints applied to I-751 case

When will New York become a fast state? Somebody take me to Ohio😭

Congratulations to those who have their interviews scheduled.

As of May 1, 2019, my case changed to 'Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview.'

Yaayyyy! Progress!

Yes it did. All 3 receipt numbers were sequential as well.

Hello everyone,

When i got my ssn it has a Claus "not valid for work unless authorised by dhs"

But i went ahead to register for doordash and worked for like 2weeks and got paid. But a friend of my wife told me to stop the doordash job that it will

Create a problem to approve my ead.

I have stopped working till my ead is approved.

I will like to know how much trouble im in with the two weeks i worked and what are my options.

Thank you.

Anyone with similar experience.

I’m surprised they hired you without authorisation, having an ssn does not give you authority hence the text on it. I doubt they will find out about it but doesn’t mean they won’t then you’ll have to face the consequences.

I am "shocked" that app based gig economy employer didn't do all of its diligence with I-9 form, and going through e-verify to check employment eligibility. I doubt it would have any negative long term effect though.

You should be fine as long as you are applying for AOS as an immediate relative of a USC.

"Certain adjustment bars do not apply to an immediate relative, including the spouse or child (unmarried and under 21 years old) of a U.S. citizen, and the parent of a U.S. citizen older than 21. [2]

An adjustment applicant applying as an immediate relative may be eligible to adjust status even if:

  • The applicant is now employed or has ever been employed in the United States without authorization;"

There are not fast or slow states. There are fast or slow field offices (some states have multiple field offices, some have none, some field offices handle cases from multiple states).

That wasn't very smart. This is going to depend on the officer interviewing you. As someone else mentioned already if you are an immediate relative of USC it's not an immediate dis qualifier, but given that you intentionally worked with the knowledge that you shouldn't, it's really up to the officer to decide what they want to do. I suggest being completely honest about it at your interview at the earliest opportunity. If they find out about it and you didn't tell them they can revoke your green card and render you inadmissible.

March filer here. Sent in on March 8th(ish) and got delayed by the post office.

Uscis received package March 18. NOA1 date is March 19th. Had my biometrics done on april 18th. My case status first said case ready to be scheduled for interview and now my status says fingerprint review complete. Should I be worried??

Hartford CT is our field office.

We are also Hartford and have very similar timelines. We did biometrics and ours also says the same.
