Hey guys, I did my fingerprints on April 22nd and today my case was updated to interview is ready to be scheduled.

If I'm not wrong this is the last stage until we get the interview appointment letter (which is the longest stage)

Yeah that’s right and your status will change to Interview Scheduled and you’ll get the letter. Just need to check your local office for waiting times

My AP NOA came later. I got a status update to say document mailed to me for AP then about a week later the NOA came. They had attempted to mail but they missed off the Apt number so it got returned then they resent it.

AOS NOA1 arrived in April 13.  In it stated that the biometric appointment is on the 25th.  For some reason I don't the AOS NOA1 came wayyyy later.  At least the petition was not denied outright.  Lets see if any RFPs come in our way.

I would not imagine there are any issues with studying or passing tests and such. My wife is taking some driving lessons, and making amazingly fast progress on that. Unfortunately, there are no updates on the website to our case numbers, old site still shows "received" even though we had biometrics done, new site is even less useful, it doesn't even show case dates, just "Nothing to be done" it neither updated so far.

That’s a good idea. I might do driving lessons too! Thanks for this! Now I am writing schedule of things to do. I don’t want to be buried infront of our TV 😭

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but:

I was doing research for the type of evidence to bring to the AOS interview, and I realized we'll have to also do an ROC application/interview a couple years down the road (assuming my Wife is approved for a green card). Is it okay to use (some of) the same evidence for both? I imagine we'll certainly have more evidence a couple years down the road, of course.

2019-03-19: AOS concurrent filing (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131) sent; AOS from F-1 Visa

2019-03-21: AOS package received

2019-03-26: All NOA1s received (dated 3-21)

2019-04-05: Received biometrics notice

2019-04-08: Walk-in biometrics completed

2019-04-10: Received email that case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

2019-04-16: Received email that interview was scheduled

2019-05-28: Green card approved at end of interview; email that case was approved received shortly after!

2021-03-06: I-751 package sent (delivered 03-09)

2021-04-02: $680 personal check fee cashed

2021-04-06: I-797 NOA (18-month extension letter) received, dated 04-01

2021-04-13: Fingerprints applied to I-751 case

Just to add to the party:

Biometrics completed 4/9/19 (original date for biometrics was 4/19/19). Still no update other than an email stating no action has been taken....

It is too early for us to worry about it, but from what I glimpsed in the current I-751 (Removal of condition) situation, USCIS seems to de-prioritize those which in effect leads to people having to make appointments and get passport stamps, until eventually they get to 3 year mark and can apply for N-400 citizenship, which many ending up having combined I-751/Naturalization interview, and never actually getting 10 year green card. USCIS, of course, still collects $680 application fee for I-751. I wouldn't worry too much about what happens in 2 years. There might be a new person in the white house at the time, with their own set of rules and guidelines. Current denial rate for I-751 is 3% or so, which means every legitimate couple will have no issues getting approval on that.

Thanks, this is really helpful! I think I'm just being too paranoid about the whole process. I'm probably going overboard with the type of evidence I want to bring with us to the AOS interview, but I figure better safe than sorry.

seems redundant doesn’t it? can’t you just have one copy of everything when you send all your files together?

The files get separated. I-485 gets sent to your local office, while the other 2 get processed elsewhere. People tend to think in terms of "harm minimization" 20c for the cost of extra I-94 copies vs. a risk of RFE because you didn't include it and a month delay because of it? Just not worth it.

Bigger argument is amount of supporting evidence. We didn't really send any because we don't really have any yet, no SSN, no joint bank account at the time of AOS filling etc, so we will provide that for when interview happens.

Urgh, I've just called BMV for my driving license. They said I have to wait for my green card to take the test. I hate relying on my husband to take me places! I feel stuck at home lol

I recently did my theory and road test here in Connecticut and now hold a full Connecticut driving licence without yet having my EAD / AP or Green Card.

Really? I think its different state by state! What did you take with you to prove your legal status?

03/01/2019 - USCIS Chicago lockbox received case  for AOS/EAD/AP

03/21/2019 - NOA1 received hard copy via post (Notice date 03/14/2019)

hi everyone, why is it still necessary to have your i-94 after you are married to get your license? has anyone here had any problem updating their driver license so the expiration date is good for more than 90 days?
