Woohoo adjusting from F-1 here too! Congrats on your fast-approaching interview!! :)

Thank you!!

We just tried calling USCIS to confirm whether they received our faxed documents for the EAD expedite request, and after being transferred it gave a 131 minute wait time. Ridiculous! Not really possible during work hours.

Yeah but I'd much rather live in NYC and wait than live in Columbus OH and get a green card quickly haha. The grass is greener on the other side. I love NYC.

What are the things we can do while we wait? I know we cannot do paid work, but what about volunteer work? I was also planning to take Fundamentals of Engineering Test if the law allows. Anyone has idea? Or link to where I can read? Thank you!

You can volunteer but as long as it doesn’t take the place of someone who could be paid.

I’ve been working out, exploring NYC and catching up on crappy TV shows haha

I would not imagine there are any issues with studying or passing tests and such. My wife is taking some driving lessons, and making amazingly fast progress on that. Unfortunately, there are no updates on the website to our case numbers, old site still shows "received" even though we had biometrics done, new site is even less useful, it doesn't even show case dates, just "Nothing to be done" it neither updated so far.

Hey guys, I did my fingerprints on April 22nd and today my case was updated to interview is ready to be scheduled.

If I'm not wrong this is the last stage until we get the interview appointment letter (which is the longest stage)
