Urgh, I've just called BMV for my driving license. They said I have to wait for my green card to take the test. I hate relying on my husband to take me places! I feel stuck at home lol

Try Uber or lyft? Lol

Mine was the 8th status updated to fingerprints received on the 14th nothing since. I wouldn’t worry it will update soon enough I’m sure ♥️

FYI there are people who did their biometrics in October and November and haven't had any updates since. I had biometrics December 26th, and my AOS changed to "ready to be scheduled" on March 20th, but nothing since then, and my EAD/AP have been "received" since December 10th. Lower your expectations and you'll be just fine :)

March filer checking in (Wife adjusting from an F-1).

Application received by USCIS March 21. Biometrics completed April 8. Initial interview notice received yesterday (dated April 16) for end of May (We were ready to be scheduled for an interview on April 10). We were shocked at how quickly it came since I had heard it takes 1-2 years, especially since we are in NYC (although it looks like quite a few others are on a super fast timeline as well, but in other areas of the country?). We still need to complete her medical exam, but will do that ASAP.

We also submitted an EAD expedite request on April 9, and faxed supporting evidence on April 16. Contacted Congress yesterday, but will have to send in a privacy notice form first.

Nice!

Hope you get your interview date scheduled soon as well.

Any idea why some (like my wife and I) get dates so quickly and seemingly jump the queue? Is it purely luck?

Congrats on getting your interview so quick. I have no idea how March filers are getting them so quick lol because, as stated above people from Nov/Dec are still waiting. It’s so nice to see someone from NYC with a quick processing time because as you said it’s typically such a long wait here!

I’m not holding out that we will get ours soon if we do then that’s a bonus lol

Seriously! We have a friend who has been waiting for an interview date for close to 350 days now. She was so confused when we told her about our interview date.
