Thank you for your comment.

I saw some people got RFE but the other, scheduled interview!

I really hope not need 2018 tax return... because I got RFIE then restarted.

We only submitted very recently. We got our NOA1s and Biometrics letters. So far, no RFEs. I did notice this process seems to be a bit different from 129F, people here actually get "requests for initial evidence" which means someone checks at the very early stage if all required documents are at least there. Presumably RFEs are also possible at later stages once they start digging in dipper.

The biometrics appointment was on April 9th and there still hasn't been any type of update saying the finger prints have been completed. Do you guys think this is normal? Or should I call to make sure there was no issues?

Thank you!

I’m sure it’s ok. I think they say to give it 30-40 days from the appointment. I had mine on the 8th my status changed on my EAD to fingerprints received on the 14th and I’ve not had anything since. I think it just happens when it happens unfortunately lol

Hello! I was checking for processing time. In my understanding, my papers are being process in NBC. But when I went to USCIS website this is what they gave me, please see attached photos. There is no NBC option for I-485, which, I don’t get. Does anyone knows why?

I'm pretty sure everyone,'s cases start out at the NBC. Once they've reviewed our fingerprints and general info, everyone's file is mailed to their local office! So ultimately, your local office will process your I-485 so that is the processing time that matters :)

I was wondering where does the processing time on your field office counts?

I mean there are many people from last November who still didn't get any update since the Biometrics.

Many of us already got the "ready to be scheduled" update.

My field office has a 14,5 months MINIMUM waiting time.

So when is the processing time start counting? From the NOA1 or from the ready to be scheduled update?

I see. Where can I find my local office? Is it where I did my Biometrics?

To find your field office, go here: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices and enter your zip code. This is where you'll have your interview.

To find your application support center, go here: https://egov.uscis.gov/office-locator/#/asc and enter your zip code. This is where you'll have your biometrics (fingerprints & such).

At some field offices, these are the same location, but not all.

You stay in ready to be scheduled for an interview until a slot frees up after everyone in front as has had their dates etc. Then it goes to Interview scheduled.

Check your local office for waiting times. NYC is 21 months minimum last time I checked so we are in for a long wait unless you are extremely lucky.

I know how the process works. My question way when does the waiting time starts?

For example, John Doe filed on 2 of November, he had his Biometrics on December 1st and there is no update at all since then.

I had my biometrics 3 weeks ago and I have a "ready to be scheduled" update.

So it means mine is already started to count but John Doe still has to wait for more than me?

I wasn’t actually replying to anyone in particular I have just seen so many posts about getting ready to be scheduled and looks like they are getting confused with it has been scheduled.

I would take the status updates with a pinch of salt it’s too sporadic to try and make sense of it. I had my Bio on the 8th and my status changed to fingerprints done on the 14th and nothing since. I’m not bothered unless I hear anymore from USCIS. All I know it’s a long wait

Our status just updated to 'interview scheduled' which confirms that going in early for biometrics does in fact speed up the process (our biometrics date was scheduled for 4/26 and we were misinformed by the rep at the uscis office who said doing biometrics early wouldn't speed up the process).
