I have no idea how things going there but definitely weird. I know someone and he is waiting since last May to get an update and he didn't have any RFE or RFIE and there are also people from September, October, and November. Just imagine how they feel when they read the January, February and March thread how many of us got an update already, and many people had their interview in less than 90 days...

Just because I've got a "ready to be scheduled" update, that doesn't mean that I'll have the interview soon.

I totally feel your frustration.

Yeah after getting the Case is ready for interview you can still be waiting for however long it is at your local office. That’s just last status update until you actually get the date. I believe anyway

Hi does anyone know how to get a birth certificate translated online please? My birth certificate is in French I'm applying for AOS USCIS needs a translated one.

I used day translations online. Fast and easy. I’ve used them a number of times for this and for work. Always reliable and the translation can come with a certified stamp for the application.

Website shows case ready to be scheduled for interview (biometrics done 8 days ago) for 485. EAD shows fingerprint review was completed. But AP shows application was received. #######?!

My case for i485 is ‘case ready to be scheduled for interview’

my employment authorisation case still says ‘fingerprint review is completed’

and My travel auth still says ‘case was received’

is this considered normal?

Thank you!!! :)

Oh I just posted before reading this. Ours says the exact same. So odd!

Hi guys, I live in Ohio and I’m still confused about the driving situation. It says I only need my social security number to take the test. I have my social security number already but I don’t have my employment auth or travel auth nor green card. Can I take the driving test now or do I have to retake it for some reason after green card? Im getting different opinions on this. Please help!

In PA you only need SS number and visa and proof of address. We went and he took the test (we also needed marriage certificate and I-94 print out, which it didn’t say but the guy said bc it’s a k1 visa you need to have that supporting proof that you can stay...so we had to go back twice). Again, in PA the license is valid for only a year but can be renewed yearly with EAD until you get a green card. Every state is different. I would bring everything it tells you to bring, plus anything else lying around, and go try.

AP doesn't require fingerprints. If you look at your Fingerprint appointment letter, you will see 2 barcodes near the bottom, one for I-485, the other for I-765, nothing for I-131.

Ah that is lovely! So nothing will change on the AP status?

I presume so. Keep in mind, most people get "combo" EAD/AP card, so both of those are internally done together and a single card eventually printed. Unless of course your local office is a speedy one, and you get conditional Green Card before that, which obsoletes both AP and EAD

We are yet to see any status changes on website despite getting biometrics done. Then again, as I like to point out, our 129F still also shows "Case Received" I give my wife a hug every time I check USCIS site and see that just to make sure she is in fact physically here now. (That's a lot of hugs!)

Lol I still get an email once a month from the original K1 application saying there are no updates on our case lol. It’s been approved since October...

Mailed our package the 23rd, they processed it the 29th.  Wife goes next Friday for her fingerprints (485+765).  I suppose I should fill out our timeline at some point lol

You should. It helps others, and it  gives you a (very tenuous) estimate date. You don't have to really put your local office if you are concerned about privacy.

It's nice to see all the March filers gathered up. Just a few dates to keep in mind.

1. There is many people September 2018 filers still waiting for EAD/AP

2. My combo card came 160 days from my application

3. The fact that your case changes status to interview is red to be scheduled doesn't mean anything waiting times vary by field office

4. Waiting times have sky rocketed and keep going up every single month

5. Be patient there isn't much you can do
