I believe there is a world of difference between what they CAN ask and what they actually ask. The "Monticello" night cream from Green Card the movie, is rather unlikely scenario. Also those questions seem more fit for so called "Stokes" interview (e.g. husband and wife separated in 2 rooms, being asked same questions, and answers being compared) vs basic routine stuff. I am not saying one should not prepare, but I also believe any couple that not actively trying to cheat the system will not have any issues.

Heck, I remember my own "Naturalization" interview: I was asked "Where is the President of United states lives?" then asked to write on a piece of paper "I live in America" and that was it.

My best friend said when his naturalization interview was the sentence that he had to write down was "I like coffee". He wrote it down and was waiting if there is anything else in the sentence but then the officer said: "okay now you have to read it loud".

Of course, he had the questions too, but for those questions are not that hard to answer.

Congrats! Where did you see this update, in the egov.uscis.gov site or in myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov?

Anyone else who had biometrics in March and still has no update on any of the uscis trackers? 😕

Also, my SS card update story:

I came in Feb this year on K1 visa and got married. I already had a SSN from my J1 stay from 2013 so I wasn't too worried about getting a new SS card with my married name on it since the number is what matters and it stays the same.

I requested an updated SS card in the EAD form so I'd avoid having to go to the SSA office once I'm able to work and they could just mail it to me. At the beginning of this month I was probably overthinking (hello, another bored person at home here) and wasn't sure if SSA would be provided with my new mailing address by DHS/uscis. So I went to the SSA office just to make sure they have my current address updated and not the one from 2013. Since I was there I asked about updating my last name too. I wasn't planning on requesting a new SS card so I just brought the marriage certificate and my passport. The lady there said the change of the address doesn't matter and that they would go off the DHS system anyway (good to know for any other overthinkers out there).

She tried to request a new SS card for me because of the name change though (I didn’t ask for it). She asked for my I94 which I DIDN'T have with me. Then copied at least my passport with the K1 visa and marriage certificate.

When I got a mail from SSA this week I was sure they were denying issuing a new card. But instead, there it was, lol, updated with my new married name on it. I was pretty shocked, after I had read about all of the issues people have with updating it after wedding/ before AP/EAD.

So I got an updated SS card with my married name on it without I94, after two weeks of visiting SSA office and less than 30 days before my I94 expiration date.

I had my bio 29th of March and status is still the same on both sites. I called USCIS about it and they confirmed that they Got my bio and it’ll take 30-45 days to update the website.

Guys! Mine just got updated to ‘Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview’. Does this mean I don’t get an RFE? (I was expecting one since I didn’t give in the 2018 tax return?!)  IM SO HAPPY

My case for i485 is ‘case ready to be scheduled for interview’

my employment authorisation case still says ‘fingerprint review is completed’

and My travel auth still says ‘case was received’

is this considered normal?

Mine still say the same as well. Anyone know if it’s normal for one to update and not the other? My i485 says fingerprints received but employment still says case received. I’m guessing they all update at different times
