All I can think about is maybe there is a difference between the K1 visa and the others.

I mean, not only K1 visa people file. There are many "overstayed or out of status" people who are together for a long time and they have many proofs (lease with both names, bank statements, lots of photos, phone talk activity etc). We are together for almost 2 years now and we sent an almost 4 LB package to them. Our case is Ready to be Scheduled, and NO, WE ARE NOT EXPEDITED. Maybe that's the difference, but that's only my guess.

Same thing just happened to me. My case said it was ready to be scheduled for an interview since Apr. 8th and now it says that the fingerprint review was completed as of yesterday for both my AOS and EAD. I wouldn’t think it’s normal but maybe it’s a glitch?

On the plus side, it’s the only update I’ve received on my EAD yet so there’s that lol

Oh boy... I'm sorry. I hope it's only a glitch!

I hope / think so, otherwise it wouldn’t make sense? Not that there’s a lot that makes sense in this whole process haha

That’s what I’m thinking too.. I think how “easy” it is to prove your relationship definitely makes a difference

Yeah, that's my guess. I had a roommate 7 years ago in Florida and she filed last year. She and her husband were together for 3 years and they sent also EVERYTHING in their package (lease, health insurance, photos, emails etc.) It's easy to put someone to the lease with an ITIN and pay taxes as well. Also, Bank of America and Wells Fargo need only a valid passport to open a bank account, so they had everything to prove their marriage. Their IO was a super nice lady and she asked why her case took only 3 months without expediting and the IO said there are easy cases like their was.

Hi guys, I live in Ohio and I’m still confused about the driving situation. It says I only need my social security number to take the test. I have my social security number already but I don’t have my employment auth or travel auth nor green card. Can I take the driving test now or do I have to retake it for some reason after green card? Im getting different opinions on this. Please help!

If I were you, I would go to the DMV and ask them about this. They'll tell you the right answer.

Hi VisaJourney friends!

I am a March filer, and just had my Biometrics done today. It was super easy. We got there 40 mins earlier than our appointment time, and it was empty except for 1 other couple at the center. They took us right away and within 10 mins we were out of there.

Here is my timeline so far:

Chicago, IL

-3/15/19 Marriage-Based AOS Packet Sent (i485, i130 i765, i131)

-3/21/19 Notice Date for all Receipt Notices. Text notifications received on 3/21. Received in mail on 3/23

-3/29/19 Notice Date for Biometrics Appointment Notice (received 2 duplicate copies...weird!). Received in mail on 4/5

-4/15/19 Biometrics Appointment done!

Now the real wait begins. How soon after the Biometrics did your case status update online?
