Mine got moved earlier (to July 21st) as well so I'm hoping that's a good sign and it will remain like that and not get pushed back. I think it might also be because from what I gather, December and January are USCIS's least busy months and I assume they are starting to look at applications filed around that time now so that'll bring the average processing time down as well. Hopefully, though it'll start moving a bit faster.

I also have a wedding to attend abroad in late August so I'm hoping I'll be able to travel before then! There is no way to check on the date though unfortunately.

From where do you guys get those emails about the EAD/AP? What do you mean when you say VJ? I haven't got anything about my EAD just the "we have received your case" message.

VJ meaning VisaJourney. It's not an official estimate or anything but if you go on your VisaJourney profile, under "My Timeline", you can input all your dates (PD, NOA1, etc), the website will then use the data from the users on here to estimate approx. when you should be getting your EAD and AP. You can also sign up to get email alerts when that date changes (as was the case today, it got moved up by a couple of weeks).

Concurrent filing of I-130, I-485, I-765, and I-131 (USC spouse)

Adjusting From: F1

Local USCIS office: Washington, DC

Service center: NBC

AOS Timeline

07/05/2019: EAD Card in Production (67 days after expediting)

Feb 2020: GC Interview, GC received

VJ means VisaJorney, this site. If you go to https://www.visajorney.com on the right side you will see something like image.png.1e7b1414db162b357543920f1741126f.png

This is based on your timeline, and timeline of other filling for same benefit. It is not very accurate as it depends entirely on other people reporting their dates. What people are saying when they originally filed date was about one month back from what it shows now, which might be indication of USCIS processing cases slightly faster. My own 129F was approved a full month ahead of VisaJourney projected timeline.

Since you do not appear to have your timeline filled at all, you probably won't see anything there.

Ohhh got it. I haven't filled out my profile here. I just started to freak out because I thought I'm missing something LOL

It's so frustrating. Another friend of mine just got her Interview appointment to the beginning of May and she lives in Miami and filed a week earlier than I.

And I still have no update about my biometrics...

Biometrics and driving test this week for my husband. Lots of exciting things moving along. He also starts the volunteer firehouse this week. Trying to keep busy and be useful! So got an email from VJ today saying date of EAD and AP has been moved forward again--now July 27th. That means it's moved a whole month earlier than they originally expected it to when we first sent the forms in. I take that as a good sign that things are moving a bit quicker?? Anyone else feeling the same way?

My husband's sister gets married in Ireland end of August so he MUST be able to leave by then. Is there any way to actually check on the date of AP coming through? Somewhere to call? It's so hard having no info at all!

I remember you from the Feb 2018 K1 group.

Pretty Similar Timeline with your husband. Biometrics this week and driving test this month.

My visa journey estimates moved to July 26th for AP. Will be “testing” it by visiting Canada once I get it lol

Travelling for a wedding by October so I should be fine. Hopefully GC comes before then as well.

No, I'm in SoCal. But she is my second friend this week who lives in Miami and got her appointment. One of them filed at the beginning of February and she filed a week earlier then I. My NOA date is March 6 and her's is February 26.

Gotcha, hopefully you'll get some good news soon too! It's just so random, I have a friend who filed in February last year and had their GC by May (within 4 months) and a friend who filed in Aug 2018 and has not heard anything yet since her biometrics last year. And we are all in the same LFO. there's no logic to this madness haha

Yeah, my husband keeps reminding me for that there are a very few people who write down their experience on Visajourney. Sometimes I also read the September and November filers, and most of them just started to get their EAD/AP in March. I have no idea how the IO decide who gets it quickly and who needs to wait. I have a friend too who got her green card after 17 months waiting in this January.

I remember you too. Crazy that I felt so far “behind” everyone who filed in February but now we’re all at the same time again.

Its so so frustrating to have no info. If his AP doesn’t come by end of August he will go and that will be it! He will not miss this wedding. So fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that!!

I thought we could only take driving tests after EAD

03/01/2019 - USCIS Chicago lockbox received case  for AOS/EAD/AP

03/21/2019 - NOA1 received hard copy via post (Notice date 03/14/2019)

Depends on the state. In California at least, if you get SSN quickly after PoE you can apply for driver license, pass knowledge test, get learner's permit, and then even pass driving test. The catch is Driver license will expire same time as your I-94. Then you are in a limbo until you get EAD or Green Card, whichever comes first.

Thank you! I checked today in mailbox, there's no mail yet, I hope if not today, maybe next week I can get the biometrics notification. Did the Case Status Online change for you? Like in relation to the biometrics?

Oh no it didn’t change online. My biometrics date is 04/18. Did you hear from them yet?

Every state is different. In Pennsylvania you just need proof of address and SSN. License is good for one year and can be renewed yearly with EAD

Do you know the rules for Ohio? I tried to search them up but I can’t find anything :(
