You can have your phone with you in the waiting area. Where my Biometrics was done the security guy didn't check my purse at all. Everyone had their phone. The only area where you are not allowed to use your phone is where they take your fingerprints and the photo.

Oh. Got it! Thanks!

Got our paper NOA1, all 3 of them. Arrived with Saturday mail. Never got e-mail or SMS notifications.

Time line:

  • Sent USPS: 25 March 2019
  • Delivered: 27 March 2019
  • Money taken: 3 April 2019
  • Paper NOA1x3: 6 April 2019
  • On all 3 forms Received date is listed as 27 March, Notice Date is 02  April 2019. Which I guess technically makes me April filer, but I I feel like sticking around in this thread instead.

Between SSN, opening checking account, NOAs, feeling a bit better for now.

Status for I-485 is Biometric Fee received on "old" USCIS page. "New" USCIS page just shows "Received" for all 3 forms.

In my Biometrics Letter, only I-485 & I-765 were indicated in my case type. I-131 is not included. Is that normal?

My letter said the same thing, I’m assuming it’s not needed for the  travel or it could just be included also.

Our journey so far:🙂

03 /12/19- Sent I-130, I-485, I-131 & I-765 (via USPS)
03/14/19 - Arrived at Chicago lock box
03/19/19- NOA1 via text (all petitions NBC)
03/22/19- Biometrics notice
03/25/19 - NOA1 via mail for AOSEAD & AP
03/30/19- NOA1 for scheduled biometrics appointment (via mail)
04/12/19- Biometrics appointment completed

Oh boy... I do the same. I check the tracker (the old and the new site too) in every hour plus the mailbox at least twice a day (however I know the mailman comes only once a day LOL).

The worst thing is, I keep reading the January and February filers group and see that many people are having already their interviews! I have a friend she lives in Miami. She got married this January, they filed in the middle of February and her biometrics was on March 15. She just got her appointment for the interview as well.

An for me 4 days after the biometrics the tracker show only "we have received the biometrics fee". :(

Haha same here, I keep refreshing all the trackers. I'm hoping that since the January and February filers' applications are starting to move along, maybe us Marchies will start getting some good news over the next month.. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

received       March 03/17/2019

NOA1            March 03/18/2019

biometrics    April    04/18/2019

I live in illinois but my appt is in misouri is thata  hint that they will process my case in Misouri or what???

You can find you local field office that will process your case based on your zip code here: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

Biometrics are taken at different locations/towns because I assume not every local office has the equipment to do it

I had similar issues... I called them and they said I had to wait 15 business days before they could escalate. 15 business days passed, I called them back, then they gave me an email address to contact.  I received back an autogenerated email saying they would respond within 30 days.  In the meantime I have received by notifications texts and physical NOAs in the mail.  I mailed my package on 3/8 and just got both the texts / NOA's last week... so my guess is that you'll likely get yours this week.

Rani, I am confused. You said you payed them with a check from your bank? Are you unable to login to your bank account and see if they money were taken out? Do hope you hear something soon.

Hello, I new to this trend. does anyone have a sample of I-864. Thanks in advance.

It might help if you ask more specifically about what part of I-864 confuses you? It is rather similar to I-134 you already had to do. Remember to include proof what person filing I-864 is US Citizen (e.g. passport, birth certificate, or certificate of naturalization)

Biometrics and driving test this week for my husband. Lots of exciting things moving along. He also starts the volunteer firehouse this week. Trying to keep busy and be useful! So got an email from VJ today saying date of EAD and AP has been moved forward again--now July 27th. That means it's moved a whole month earlier than they originally expected it to when we first sent the forms in. I take that as a good sign that things are moving a bit quicker?? Anyone else feeling the same way?

My husband's sister gets married in Ireland end of August so he MUST be able to leave by then. Is there any way to actually check on the date of AP coming through? Somewhere to call? It's so hard having no info at all!

Mine got moved earlier (to July 21st) as well so I'm hoping that's a good sign and it will remain like that and not get pushed back. I think it might also be because from what I gather, December and January are USCIS's least busy months and I assume they are starting to look at applications filed around that time now so that'll bring the average processing time down as well. Hopefully, though it'll start moving a bit faster.

I also have a wedding to attend abroad in late August so I'm hoping I'll be able to travel before then! There is no way to check on the date though unfortunately.
