They took the money from our account one wednesday and saturday morning received the text messages!!! Fingers crossed for u dear!

Appreciate it! We think we are getting our SSN today. Informed delivery shows envelope, but no mail yet. On Monday it would be 5 weeks since we applied. I do hope it is SSN and not a rejection letter. My wife is happy as this would be officially first mail with her name on it delivered. Treasure the little things!

No news from USCIS yet, maybe tonight, or Saturday. To be honest, having SSN would be huge help and will make waiting for USCIS things easier. Will be able to open joint account, add to Medical insurance, etc.

Hey! I just got my biometrics appoitment. Is for the 16th, so around 20 days after NOA1.

I'm excited to get one more step done but is also a bummer that it was schedule for 1pm on a Tuesday, I need to figure it out how to get there because my husband can't miss work that day and 1pm is so inconvenient.

Things like this make me miss public transportation a lot. It is amazing how between two big cities in a state the options to travel are so limited for thoses who don't have a car or can't drive.

And yeah, the notification system sucks, my 129F still says "we received your application" when that was over a year ago and in the meantime I already got my K1, moved to the US and applied for AoS.

Craigstlist has rideshare section there, see if you might be able to arrange a ride? But yes one of the "joys" of America that they public transportation was systematically and intentionally destroyed here due to lobby by car and oil companies. They used to have it, trolley, light rail etc, but was all destroyed to make room for (ever congested) freeways.

Just got 2 envelopes in the mail! Already received NOA, so this is either RFE or Biometrics. Most people with the same NOA date have a biometrics appointment, so fingers crossed.

Any reason to receive 2 pieces of mail? I was expecting 1.

Ok both letters state the exact same thing. However, I am out of my state of residence to due work assignment (and my wife is with me) on the appointment date. Is there a chance to get the biometrics complete in a different city or should we plan on flying her back to our hometown for a quick trip?
