Congrats! Hopefully it's a quick process! When the case is ready to be scheduled for an interview, is that when they transfer it to the local field office?

Our timelines are about a week apart so I'm hoping I'm getting close too :)

Yeah, when we're at the ready to be scheduled for an interview, we're pretty much just waiting for our turn in the field office. Did you get notification on fingerprint review is completed yet? I got that notification around 2 hours after i did my biometrics.

07/24/2024 Biometrics waived

Hey!

We sent our packet. Haven’t received NOA1 yet. Practicing patience.

03/22/19- Sent I-130, I-485, I-131 & I-765 (via USPS)

03/25/19 - Arrived at Chicago lock box

We have similar timelines! I received texts with the three receipt numbers on 03/25/19. But no paper notices in the mail yet.

Got it, thank you! No, nothing has changed on the online tracker, it's still on "We've received your biometrics fee." Hoping it updates soon and is not just going to be stuck there for the rest of the process haha

Hey Guys,

A question about the social security number, my husband filed for it and gave the administration a copy of the Visa and I-94.

they did not give any updates and gave the paper saying one couldn't be issued at that time.

it has been three weeks and we have not received any updated.

how long does it take to get a SSN for him and what else should I do?

Thank you,

it will arrive

I had my biometrics this morning and nothing changed at all on the online tracker. I'm not nervous, I'm prepared for the long wait, but it would be nice to have the interview within a few months. :D

I don’t know why it took me so long to search the March AOS thread but I filed on March 12th, got an RFIE March 21,  USCIS recieved my response (they just wanted my husband’s IRS transcript instead of just a copy of his tax return) and began working on my case again and had my biometrics appointment in Seattle today!

I wish the wait for the interview wasn’t so long 😬

Hey Guys,

reaching out my Husband sent the AOS to Chicago on March 13th and the tacking said they delivered it to the PO BOX on March 16th.

We have not heard anything it is almost 3 weeks from when we sent everything in. they have not cashed the check yet, and they haven't sent anything back.

Is this normal?

Thank you for your help!

it was normal for us, yep. You should hear back any day now.

Our packet got rejected... we made some mistakes. It's not a huge distaster, but I think it may move us to the April thread technically!

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it is easily fixable. Do you mind sharing what issues USCIS found?

We've filed on the last week of March, so I wouldn't be surprised if our NOA1 dates will be in April as well, regardless, unlike K-1 threads, it seems like AoS threads are more sparse and more slow moving. Probably due to large variation of processing times of I-485 in local offices.

Well.... we forgot to sign it. Feeling kind of dumb for that.

There was also something about priority date that I'm still trying to figure out the solution for. (If anybody thinks they can help, please click below!)
