pretty sure that would be a driver's license, or a non-drivers ID card! 😃

Hmm, sent my AoS in on March 4th and my case is ready to be interviewed as of 3 days ago. I'm in Omaha so fingers crossed they're faster since we're in a low immigrant office.

Wow! That’s pretty fast. My friend in Maryland also filed February 1st and she’s scheduled for interview April 10. Goodluck to you.

It was delivered on Monday and I still haven't heard anything! I know from the K1 process that I should probably refrain from tearing my hair out in frustration, but the urge remains.

It's been taking at LEAST a week for most of us to hear back at all! I totally get you though, I'm checking my mailbox daily--sometimes more than once 😂 patience is not my strong suit

Hi! My biometrics appointment if for April 11th at 10 am! Woohoo! They just take your fingerprints to go thru the FBI database to make sure your husband doesn’t have a criminal record. Make sure your husband takes his passport and the biometrics appointment letter!

The rules can vary from state to state, but typically a K1 visa holder should be eligible for one with a valid I-94 and passport. They might also ask you for an SSN or the NOA1 letter.

And as someone else said, the state ID is basically a driver's license except it doesn't allow you to drive.

Just got done with CA DMV. Today marks 61 days until the date of her I-94 expires, and according to CA, DMV will not issue ID if there is less than 60 days. Annoying wrinkle is we didn't have her SSN yet even though we applied literally the very next working day after PoE on March 4th. SAVE database changed today from case in review to case send back, so hopefully it means SSN next week?? CA DMV is closed Monday, April 1st due to state holiday (Chavez day) so keep that in mind if there is anyone else from CA here. Hope this will go smoothly and she would have her CA ID card shortly. DMV adventure took over 3 hours, we were there 10 mins before the doors opened.

AoS package was delivered to Chicago Lockbox late Wednesday evening, but obviously no word about it yet. Late next week. I don't think Chicago celebrates Chavez day ...
